You would laugh at his comment, cause neither of you fools gets it.
I'm not comparing covid in general to slipping in the shower. I'm comparing his one random scare tactic story to any other completely random instant death.

Hydroxy: Multiple 1000-person studies showing indisputably promising results? Anecdotal. Doesn't prove anything.
One random covid instant death: Scary. Covid causes instant death. Indisputable, cause the story is true.

Dafuq is wrong with y'all?
You're clearly rooting for the bad news. Seriously get the fuck out of here with that shit.

Assume too much? Who said you were making such a comparison?

But your post wasn't worthy of one of these:

The beauty of opening back up is it enables personal choice. If you think it's still too scary out there, stay your ass at home. No one gonna hate on you for it. Just let those of us who want to go on with our lives do so. Whether it be because we think it's not serious, or we're healthy enough to handle it, or smart enough to take the proper precautions, or whatever. Don't forget this country is about states' rights and personal freedoms.

If and when the real men go about their lives, and we end up getting sick and dying, you can say from your war room "I told you so". Somethings tells me you'd all relish that opportunity.

It looks like Arkansas has chosen, for the most part, to stay at home:

37 Deaths as of today & 12.25 dpm(deaths per million)

Yet Arkansas has - locked down - schools since March & for the rest of the school year.

Restaurants are locked down from having customers dining in. They can only offer take out, the same as in Canada. And Arkansas restaurants are suffering, because they're getting so little business, since people are - locking - themselves down. Just like in Canada.

"LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Some restrictions could be lifted in May that would include reopening some small businesses and restaurants. But until then, many are struggling to stay afloat.

Three Fold is one of the only restaurants in downtown Little Rock still open and serving takeout. Even then, the owner Lisa Zhang says it is still incredibly difficult to make ends meet.

...Gov. Asa Hutchinson said Arkansas could move into phase one of lifting restrictions on May 4. That would include opening up some restaurants under strict physical distancing guidelines.

"We're going to start lifting some of the restrictions, but we're going to do it very carefully," he said.

"Reopening some businesses and restaurants" - does that sound like Arkansas's economy is open for business?

"Gov. Hutchinson sets May 4 as target date to begin reopening state economy".

https://talkbusiness.net/2020/04/gov...onomy-updated/

Does that sound like Arkansas's economy is open for business?

"He also urged businesses to begin preparing for reopening by establishing accommodations to allow distancing, and cleaning and sanitizing work areas. He also said the state may allow hospitals to return to elective procedures even before an official move into Phase 1. Overall, the governor’s medical advisory group is looking at all directives to see “how we can walk ourselves back” from the restrictions, Smith said."

"...What about hair salons, barbers, esthetians and massage therapists? When do we get to go back to work?"

https://talkbusiness.net/2020/04/gov...onomy-updated/

"...It's a time where the only crowded parking lots are found in front of grocery stores and "open" signs on businesses are few and far between."

https://www.thv11.com/article/news/o...8-94628dfb53a6

That sounds pretty much the same as Canada.

I wonder if it's any different in the other states you mentioned.

13,539,000 people all using their God given common sense & averaging 10.82 Deaths Per Million

Like in Arkansas, many Canadians are still receiving paychecks, so what's the difference?

Like in Canada, in Arkansas unemployment has gone through the roof. So what's the difference?

Why may Ontario/Quebec have a higher DPM rate than Arkansas? It may largely be due to few infected people visiting the state relative to Ontario/Quebec. Not due to anything Arkansas is doing regarding restrictions on their economy. After all, how many people from hotspots like China, Iran & Italy have recently visited Arkansas? If Arkansas doesn't keep their borders locked down, they could be in for a world of hurt & death. They'll also need to keep the virus that has already entered their state under control, just like we in Canada are doing.

BTW, Arkansas intends to keep their schools closed for the year, as mentioned above, but Quebec plans to reopen them in early May. So who's on "lockdown"?

Pretty easy to social distance at the beach. Leaving people locked in their homes will increase depression and suicide rates.

I'd take it a step further and say it's not even that important to stay 6 feet away from each other at the beach. As long as you aren't rubbing all over each other or coughing all over each other. There is usually and pretty strong breeze and great airflow. Even in the 1000-1 chance you encounter someone with covid and decide to talk normal, say a foot apart you probably still wouldn't catch it.

If it was as easy to transmit as some of the people on the RX think everybody would have had this by now.

I was just bouncing around a few stations and caught the girl reporting for CNN from the beach in Jacksonville that is closing because of the 8pm curfew and she was appalled at the people walking off the beach who came within 6 feet of her!!!!! From the way she reported what she had seen at the beach and lack of social distancing, you would think everybody on that whole beach will be dead by tomorrow!!!! WTF is wrong with these people!!! I live in Palm Beach Gardens Fl. and I can tell you that all of our Publix supermarkets are jammed daily, the 2 Home Depots in my wheel house have never been busier, you might mistake it for the Christmas season, that's how busy!!! The traffic on the roads is slightly and I mean slightly lower, as in the snowbirds have gone home and it's only the full time residents left on the roads. We are still working in the construction business and I travel heavily between Palm Beach County and Broward County, traffic is a little lighter on a daily basis but there are still millions of cars on the road daily, you'd never know we were in the middle of a pandemic from what you see on some of these news stations. From what I see down here, we need to protect and quarantine the vulnerable and let everyone else that won't be one bit effected by this get back to work, short and simple.

Lol! I was in Walmart, Publix and Home Depot today also early morn, crowded also

people no mask and standing on aisles close to each other

went hiking afternoon and place was packed

Traveled 4 states this past week, one being Tallahassee, traffic heavy , every city people out and about

why it’s so all over the place with the news , bad in areas , no so in others

opening needs steps anywhere, baby steps in hard hit areas

I think they could open 75-80% of this Country tomorrow and it wouldn't change the final outcome of this mess one bit with only a few restrictions.

1 Keep the schools closed for the year, they lost enough time already, move on.

2 Keep the social distancing and mask thing, it will never be perfect but it does seem to work

3 Quarantine the most vulnerable and try to get the message out as to, "WHO", is really at risk medically from this disease.

4 At least try to put some safeguards in the work place, masks, distance, you don't feel right, don't even think about coming in.

5 Hard hit areas, let them figure it out. I have a really hard time believing in the NY numbers myself, I think it's mostly Bullshit. I think they are counting every single death as a Corona fatality for either monetary or political reasons. Just my opinion on it

6 Are there future deaths and hardships ahead before we have a cure for this disease, absolutely and it will not be easy for many families "BUT" I believe we can no longer sacrifice our economy or the well being of our American families, many of which are on "Financial" ventilators.

We need our economy back up and rolling this week!!!! Not next week or after May 1st, 4th or 15th!!!! We need it now for every family out there and I pray to God that it hasn't been damaged beyond repair!! Just my thoughts!! Everyone stay safe!!

Thanks Michelangelo, this whole nightmare as I see it, is just insanity on steroids. Here was an insanity moment for me today. We have 2 of the most beautiful beaches in Fl., Jupiter and Juno beach, they are joined together in a 4/5 mile stretch. They have closed both to the public because of the "PANDEMIC". So I took a ride over there today to see what was going on. There were thousands of cars parked along the whole 4/5 mile stretch of the beach, thousands of people walking on the 4 foot wide concrete sidewalk with their dogs and family members within a foot or so of everyone passing by in each direction. So I guess my question is to these loser officials down here is, wouldn't it be better to have the beaches open where they are 50 times larger for people to really be able to practice social distancing? These beaches are massive, yet they have the cop cars at every entrance with lights flashing to keep people off the beaches, yet the whole beach is actually on the sidewalk!!! STUPIDITY AT IT''S FINEST !!!!!!!!!
