Pretty easy to social distance at the beach. Leaving people locked in their homes will increase depression and suicide rates.

If people commit suicide because they have to stay in the house for 5-6 weeks, they already had many other issues.

The beauty of opening back up is it enables personal choice. If you think it's still too scary out there, stay your ass at home. No one gonna hate on you for it. Just let those of us who want to go on with our lives do so. Whether it be because we think it's not serious, or we're healthy enough to handle it, or smart enough to take the proper precautions, or whatever. Don't forget this country is about states' rights and personal freedoms.

I have 2 friends in northern Florida post pics of them at the beach on Facebook. NEITHER looked crowded.

where I live, there is a nice 2.5-3 mile circle around my development. I have come closer to more people during my walks than those people at the beach

ive lived in Jacksonville for 27 years and went for a walk on the beach Friday night. Some of the pictures you are seeing are old and judging by the background some prolly aren’t even of our beach. For the most part, everyone was adhering to social distancing and there are planes flying around with banners reading “Do your part stay 6 feet apart”

Heard this story a couple days ago...

Know of somebody who just told me a terrible story about somebody they know who is a nurse and dropped dead from Covid yesterday at work. Had no idea that she had it. In fact on Monday she was telling everybody in the family to be sure they wore masks and gloves. In Florida, on the job. Never had any health problems. Didn’t feel sick. Just dropped dead. Tested positive for Covid-19.



If people can just drop dead from this without knowing....is it really safe to be taking about opening up shit? I know they are...but this type of stuff will continue unfortunately

I went to look for this story online and couldn’t find it. But very reputable source because it’s someone I know.


Tells me a lot of deaths are not being reported. Why?

I understand the severity of what's going on. It's possible to acknowledge the severity and still be of the opinion that there is a lot of overreacting and fear-mongering going on.

Basically what you're saying with that story is "oh, you wanna play like this is not serious? Well look at this story! You might just feel fine one minute and drop dead the next!"
