Most don't realize that work is always to be done in the administration panel where we gave to deal with new members signing up, spamming, posters on review needing posts approved or deleted, etc..

Not to mention dealing with other things you mentioned such as dealing with sponsors, contests, techs, emails, all the while trying to post.
I know most laugh & scoff but there truly is more behind the scenes than realized.

As for banning posters, again, that's difference in opinion.

Since BAS and became head mods & started running the show here, I think most will agree Therx is much more tolerant than in the past...

Fair enough. Thanks for responding and not getting defensnive about it. I just don't agree with banning people. Its a large forum, so easy to ignore others.

I think all is well as long as we don't go overboard with each other with name - calling & such.

Chop is right about Shrink.
He was totally against moving certain threads to the Rubber Room.

Ridiculous topics such as "What brand toilet paper do you use?" would definitely get moved.

But topics which had posters interacting & even disagreeing would remain, and instead of moving threads, simply edit or remove abusive posts, and post a warning in the thread itself.

We all do things differently though, the same way we have different viewpoints on everything else...

Why can't the Mods put individual posters on post review first, then a ban from that sub forum, then a total ban?

Copy and Paste the part of the rule that was broken (for others to learn from as well), then take appropriate action against that individual poster instead of the forum as a whole.

akp is leaving this site......some guys might not like him....i do and he livens the place up for sure.
