Was 21.5 when I woke up about 6:30, but jumped back to 25 on 5 dimes an hour or so before tip.. Saw that marathon bet was hanging +19.5 with slightly higher vig, so I jumped on the 25. Nice win.

Had no idea the game was on ESPN. Maybe if you have a play on the game in Chicago, I'll bang it extra hard and go watch it live. :)

Angola vs. Greece
under 17
Saturday
Angola +16.5

These two are playing for 11th place on Saturday in the final day of games. Angola was +22.5 when they first met and stayed within 11 as it ended 62-51. Greece opened with a close 10 point loss to USA and only lost to Canada by 12. Greece has underachieved as they are playing for 11th place. Angola just lost to Italy by only 6 after beating the worst team (UAE) in the competition. Angola is led by Jungo (had 26 in one game), Desousa (led with 14 one game), Armandio (scored 26 and 24 to lead the team in two games), Fernandes (16 rebounds in one game), Manuel and Miranda.

I hope this game means more to Angola and Greece is happy to win by 10 to 15 points and the underdog covers. GL!

No more plays for the rest of Saturday (August 16, 2014) but here are some comments on the USA games set for today.

The USA plays Australia for the title in the under 17 tourney. Australia came back to beat Spain in OT on Friday. Will they be fresh enough to stay with the USA? The Aussies were down 20 in the first half yesterday. They are not very athletic and did lose by 12 to Canada. Isaac Humphries did score 41 in one game. Wilson and Owies are decent players too. USA was -18.5 but now -26 with a total of 167. USA led Serbia 39-36 at half on Friday and outscored them 50-32 in the 2half.

As for the USA vs. Brazil exhibition game, the USA is favored by 22 with a total of 172.5. The game is in Chicago. Brazil seems to have an old roster. The game is the first for the USA's World Cup team.

Wow, that should be fun.
I see that 5 Dimes has over 43 (1st quarter).

The teams may start slow but they will have some adrenaline to play fast. Brazil just scored 26 in the 1st quarter vs. Angola and scored 20 vs. Argentina. Brazil has Splitter, Barbosa, Taylor, Huertas and Verajao to score. Hopefully, we see some made free throws and some 3's.

Senegal vs. Spain
Senegal +28.5 (Sbobet)

Senegal qualified in last year's Afrobasket by beating the Ivory Coast by one to finish in third place. They had lost to them earlier by about 28. Angola won the tourney and they just lost to Spain by only 9 points.

Here are recent Spain Friendlies:

beat Canada by 12
beat Angola by 9
beat Turkey by 22
beat Turkey by 7

Spain is favored along with the USA to win the title and they have been playing all 12 players on their roster about 10 to 24 minutes. The do have great players like Ibaka, Marc and Pau Gasol, Navarro, etc. Senegal has some players with NBA experience like Georgi Deng. He is 6'11" and won a title with Louisville under Rick Pitino. Hamady Ndiaye played at Rutgers and some with the Sacramento Kings. Mohammed Faye played at Georgia Tech and Ndoye is another decent player. Senegal has been practicing in Malaga, Spain and should be motivated to play against a great team.

I hope to see Spain play all of their roster and be happy with a win by 20 to 25 points. GL!

Iceland at Bosnia (B&H)
Sunday (August 17, 2014)
Eurobasket Qualifier
Iceland +21 (Marathonbet)

Wright, Nurkic and Djedovic are out for the home team. Iceland has some players out but Palsson played well in the 13 point home win over Great Britain. It does concern me that Iceland is on the road but B&H and their fans will be happy with a 10-15 point win. GL!

China vs. Malaysia
Tuesday (August 19,2014)
China -55

I rarely play huge favorites but China won the title back in 2012 and won their opener by 106 against Hong Kong and then won by 65 vs. India. Malaysia wasn't in the tourney back in 2012. China is led by Zhou Qi. Hopefully, we see China open up with a win by 60 or more. GL!

over 176

DR has a few scorers like Sosa and Garcia and it will be a fast paced game. DR played a 103-93 (196) and 99-84 (183) game with Puerto Rico in the past year. Hope to see 180+ in this friendly played at MSG in NYC! GL!

Lost last play with USA/Dom Republic over as the visitors only reached 62.

Serbia vs. Lithuania
FIBA under 16 (Europe)
Thursday (August 21, 2014)
over 130.5

These are two of the best teams and they face each other in Day 2. Serbia won easily and score 79 while Lithuania lost 76-68 (144). Lithuania scored 87-62 friendly (and 86-71) over Spain and scored 88 and 94 vs. Denmark. It's not too much to ask to get both teams over 65 and reach the mid-130's.
