I always wondered how most of the people who were elected to the House or Senate seem to come out a lot wealthier than when they got in.
The most obvious answer applies to the stock market as we have just seen recently when people were charged with(but yet to be convicted)
making personal investing financial decisions of buying and selling based on privileged information made know to them in their political
position long before it was made public to the general investing public.
Imo and in addition to these folks, there quite a few investors and market makers on the floor of exchanges who also are privy to
stocks and trading information which is not known to the general public(illegal inside information), which gives them a huge advantage!
