This is rubber room material. It's cluttering up the baseball forum.

Some dude who works on an oil rig and is a diehard braves fan loses 50 units after claiming to have 8 straight winning seasons (never ever ever proven), and decides to leave. This trash is cluttering the baseball forum.

Those of you that "lost everything" blindly following his plays have no one to blame but yourselves.

There is no free lunch.

True words, people NEVER want to take responsibility for there own actions. Instead it seems everyone likes to shift the blame on others. Chop merely listed the games he liked, and as a respected poster many people followed. Bottom line is Chop never held a gun to anyones head and made them make the selections, people have to think for themselves and have a mind of there own. Trying to blame Chop is a pathetic attempt to find a scapegoat. Good luck Chop and it shows a lot quitting while you are down. Last year I was down big and kept trying to dig myself out of the hole and ended up just digging deeper. I wish I could use the same restraint you are demonstrating.

Just shows why you dont follow others plays.

Do your own capping. Blame yourself when you lose.

I follow others' plays, but only have myself to blame when they lose. I chose who to tail, and I chose to put my money on the play. My problem.

If you allegedly had 8 winning years in a row.Why bitch so much and quit over one bad half of the season?

One big lesson I hope can be realized here on both sides...Talking about never losing and it being impossible to lose was a big mistake....and of course believing it was also a big mistake, 1% bet no more than 1% on any one event.

NoLimits, I don't know what your obsession with Chop is-and yes, it is an obsession, but I think that he's stated quite clearly that he doesn't feel like that he has it this year & that it's just not working.

WOW !

This has turned into quite the thread!!

Cant understand why some just cant seem to let it up?

The guy says he surrenders, and thats that. This proves beyond the shadow of the doubt just how tuff "this" sport really is.

And people wonder why No one plays baseball, by this being the slowest of ALL times for the offshore world should tell you something.
Bookmakers are not in the habit of giveing nothing away period, and even the Best of the Very Best have a Tough time with baseball.

Its been that way forever, this is nothing new by far.

the only player that can beat a book in bases is a dog player.

Thats what "they" say !!

The 1% has merit if you can stay after the grind and pick more winners than losers, very difficult to do.
Bookmakers love those that Never increase wagers. Bookmakers Also would LOVE to recruit players that do exactly that. I guess thats why there are so many that advertise here?

That is why I feel choptalk had a losing season this year,He tried to be a leader of this forum and finding value plays instead of sticking to watching loads of baseball and using your own instinct and playing good teams with good pitchers who win you money.

He tried to take over with bucsfan defection and tried to be a leader in the forum and you cant wager that way. Alot of people would be angry if you posted teams like the A,s today or st.louis at -225 ,because they dont have the bankroll to take a loss on that kind of chalk. So choptalk wagered on alot of teams like washington and yes there is "value" in washington and teams like the royals but you are going to lose alot of money, so where is the "value".

I have been on here for a few years and I had went away for awhile but I have seen choptalk excel in alot of sports and it would be a shame to lose him I saw how good choptalk was last year and we are losing a good capper. What really makes me mad is alot of these bashers are people who have ulterior motives, somebody like no limits.

This is a guy who posted master L died in a car crash to get more posts , and some of these bashers on this thread sound like ghosts to me,winning streak and a few others, same sort of immaturity and bashing.I may be wrong but if you are a kool aid sipper and a blind follower you really should not be angry.

good luck Chop, just relax and get back later on.

Believe me, I've had so many BS losses and 1 run losses and gags etc this year. It's killing me. I needed LAD or Oak to brake even yesterday and of course they both choked. For every good comeback/miracle win I get, I get 8 bad losses/gags to make up for it.

Maybe bet until you get back on your feet and don't have the pressure of this forum???

I can't believe you people blame him for betting YOUR money on his plays, that is awful. Get a fucking clue people!!!

Chop-

I think you are a class guy, a good handicapper, and an asset to this forum. However, this just sounds condescending and bitter:

The good news is, there are some solid cappers this year that are falling on the right side of the 7th,8th, and 9th inning blown leads.

Don't blame your losses on bad luck and others' wins on "falling on the right side of the 7th, 8th, and 9th inning blown leads". That's bush league. And, if that wasn't bad enough, you go on to mention them by name?!? WTF? C'mon dude, you're better than that.

Across the street, Bucs is up 30+ units and he has a bullpen melt down on him pretty much everynight. He's also had 2 hideous losing streaks (he's stuck in the middle of a 2+ week losing streak right now, as a matter of fact) this season.

I think if you are being honest with yourself, you'd have to admit that you've done some bad handicapping and even chased some losses in games where you most likely didn't have an advantage. I mean, if you're down 50+ units, it's probably not just good handicapping and bad luck (though given your winning track record, I'm sure that good handicapping + bad luck was a big part of it).

I'm a poker player, and pretty much every big losing session I've ever had started with me playing well and getting unlucky and ended up with me tilting away more money than I should have by not playing my best.

At any rate, you're a long-term winning 'capper and have the stats to prove it. Don't let this get you down. Keep your head up and come back strong next season. BOL.
