i don't believe i have to make you understand this because i started a thread asking a question. religion is not the same as spirituality, they differ in their respectful opinion's and practices. do you believe we breath oxygen? can you see it? how about love, can you see it? i too was very much like you at a point and time in my life. i don't think any different of you because you wish not to believe, that's fine by me. there is a percentage of those that believe in God without ever knowing him or asking any question's about him. i prefer to ask. would you ever take or have you ever taken a class and not ask at least one question to what you are being taught? i hope you enjoy all the perfect weekend's in your life that seem to suit you, after all, persuing your goal's and dream's is really none of my business and i too wish you a merry x-mas...
hmmmm i wouldnt blame it on a "spirit", i would blame on several factors, being abused as a child physically, emotionally or sadly, sexually... bad neighborhoods, bad influences, too much violence at home, or just plain GREED... some men are evil cause they are mentally ill or spiritually damaged, some just like to prey on the weak... most do what they do cause they dont give a fuck
and sadly, this is the world we live in and frankly i dont think something is gonna come from heaven to save us all, humanity is practically doomed to self destroy
spiritually damaged? this is what i am refering to. it all add's up like u have stated, bad hm life, neighborhood's, etc...can play a part in some's live's who are looking for a reason or excuse to be the way they are. take lebron james for instance, supposedly bad up bringing and such but, has choosen to try and make a better life for himself by having his faith in God to help him along the way. unlike so many other's out there that could prob be playing in the nba but choose to make bad decision's that has held them back from doing so, and while having, maybe, a belief in God also. imo, when you can practice making bad decisions for yourself and go through life struggling, you can also practice making positive decision's for yourself which may bring to you what you may desire out of life. humanity will not end itself, it will be and is up to God to do what he feel's is rt. imo of course. God has never lost, nor the one's who believe in him...many people before you have claimed the same for huanity and said it would be in their lifetime as well. are you still in college?
I don't think he exhibits any "ignorance" toward God. He has spoken quite intelligently about the subject. If you mean "ignorance" as in a different viewpoint than your own than that is just arrogance on your part. This arrogance by people I believe has been the biggest thing to turn people off from religion.
