kermit, I like Seaside and Cannon Beach, OR. Right on the coast and one of America's best kept secrets. Not all the developed land like you see in most beach communities.

I own investment property on the Oregon Coast, near Bandon.

Oregon is beautiful - my only complaint is that with all the water,
it is almost *never* warm enough to go swimming in the coast,
or in any of the rivers and lakes.

As a matter of fact, they get drownings each year because people
are fooled by the cold water.

I have been trying to "steal" a condo in Vegas for the last 4 months. I probably would start out living there for 4 months a year.

I found a 2 bedroom, 1159 sq ft condo in Summerlin built in 1998 for $65,000 the other week. :shocked:

Problem is, I think prices will go down even further the next 3 years. But with the $8,000 tax credit (would be $6,500 or 10% if you buy this home), do you wait for prices to drop or take the deal?
