Fish,

Curious as to why you would have Bend, OR on the list. You know something about there that I don't?

Not sure

Been there and it's a beautiful place nestled in the middle of Oregon........great outdoor recreation.

I may have to unleash a vote for Ottosen in the poll..........

Bend Oregon is a great place to live. Best skiing in Oregon is nearby, great fishing lakes and Rivers nearby, Lots of sun and not much rain, Great hunting all around you ! What's not to like ?

Pattaya Beach

VD, you owe it to yourself to visit Phuket. They even have one of those funny little streets with all the bars up and down it. They also have some of the best golf courses in Asia.

kermit, I like Seaside and Cannon Beach, OR. Right on the coast and one of America's best kept secrets. Not all the developed land like you see in most beach communities.

During the Summer months it is very nice there but for the other 8 months it gets windy, wet and cold. Everything rusts there also so for me I love to visit the Oregon Coast but I would never live there.

That's what I've heard also. Maybe a rental for the summer months would be nice.

I've been there a bunch. I guess I'm not into the outdoor activities as much to live in a place like that.

Nice place to visit though. My family and I spent a week in a cabin over the holidays a couple years back.

The winter storms on the Oregon Coast are sometimes quite a sight and it's really nice to spend a weekend sitting by a warm fireplace watching the rough seas splashing nearby. However don't try and sell me a home there to stay on any kind of permanent basis. ! If you have a dune buggy, head to Florence on the Oregon Central coast.

Winchester Bay is a fun spot as well to go with a sand rail or quads. No beer on the sand is a drag but a pretty dangerous place to be impaired.
