I don't think Tressel needs to go, but I 100% agree that coaching cost OSU this game.

No pressure on a freshman QB most of the game(Heacock blows).

Crucial plays: What are you thinking kicking a FG on the half yard line in this game? That's your 4 points right there to win the game.

Another bad call was throwing the ball down field on 3rd and 3 with 55 seconds left in the half when USC has no time outs left. WHY???????????

Bad play calling with continuing to call the Option. It didn't work the first few times, why call it on the goal line and why call it in the 4th Qtr??????

I'm a BIG OSU fan and I am very pissed about this game. This loss should fall directly on the shoulders of the coaches.

I agree with all your points here but Tressel is the one that hires these bozos to his staff so you got to give him alot of the blame along with his coaching staff

hence the reason that most of the Big 10 gets owned by the SEC and such that play a more wide open style with more of an emphasis on speed.

Capital One & Outback Bowls Last 3 Seasons: Big Ten 4-2.

It's so wonderful when the clueless shit talkers rally themselves together on TheRx.

that fine whi gives a crap about the capital one and the fricken Outback Bowl. When you play Florida and LSU in the National Title game they lost bottom line I hate the SEC but dammit you have to give them credit so get the shit out of you mouth when you are talking about a lower level bowl games nobody gives a rats ass unless you have money on them and cant rememeber who played in them but when you talk National championship games they know that the BIG 10 lost to a SEC school when the subject comes up

Sorry i didn't do research on a quick reply ass-hat, guess i struck a cord with a Penn State fan. I was speaking of OSU and Tressel's old school coaching style versus more modern/ unorthodox coaches. The reason the Big 10 has a poor rep. now-a-days is because they win the Capital One & Outback Bowls and lay a turd in the BCS bowl games. Hang your hat on that... nice stats though.

L5Y, USC is 4-0 vs SEC, outscoring them 167-48!!!

If Barkley misses the threaded needles on the last drive, OSU wins and Tressel is a hero.

You Jekyl & Hide results-oriented assholes are really exhausting yourselves.

Tressell gave OSU a great chance to win a game inwhich hardly anybody gave them one.

A true freshman drove your defense back on its heels down the field in your house when it mattered!

Tressel fucked up numerous times. Why didn't he kill the clock near the end of the half. On 3rd down at the SC 31, why didn't he run the ball to play for a FG. The sack and then he takes a Delay of game which was declined.

Great questions indeed. Hopefully they were asked of him in the post game news conference, because they need to be answered.

Hell Yea,

I do blame Tressel. He has to be the one making these calls. The biggest ones are not going for it on 4th from the half yard line and passing the ball on 3rd and 3 with 55 seconds left in the half. Absolute Cluelessness. 7 point difference in the game.........OSU wins. Obviously I'm assuming OSU gets the TD if they go for it, but you're on home field in the biggest game of the year...................WTF!!

You're fcking clueless pal, seriously wow. Why do I argue with idiots like you. I'm done getting baited in by you idiots who use the conference group us vs them bullshit. It's the most pathetic, worn out discussion in the history of spots.

LSU struggled with a horrible Pac 10 team.. Tennessee got licked by a mediocre one. Georgia got lickde by a Big 12 team that got smacked by a Conference USA team. WHO GIVES A FLYING FUCK?! Only dumb assholes with nothing better to talk about.

Teams change every fucking year, conference balance changes every fucking year. When you hear a "Oh we're the best conference" argument, you can pretty much guarantee that person is a complete moron that can't wrap his peabrain around logic.

And for the record I was never talking shit, I am a UF fan but my favorite games to watch are Big 10 because of the tradition and rivalries they have established, they are just behind the curve IMO. Michigan will be the first real national contender to come out of the conference in recent years once Rich Rod get the train rolling.

Ok I guess you dont get it but you have record crowd which is loud as hell and late in the 4th qtr and you let a freshman qb on the road and let him go down the field to score the winning TD on you.You cant stop there run and no pressure on him at all when he is back to pass on that drive is down right a shame.

well put. the Ohio State Buckeyes have no heart and have shown it time and time again. The mail it in performance against Florida in the BCS title game was pathetic, but letting a kid with one college football game under his belt, drive the length of the field with 106,000 people screaming for you, is beyond pathetic. I don't know how those bums could even show their face on campus after that disgrace. No character and no heart, just like the coach. The fans deserve better.

Barkley made one throw on that last drive, it was all McKnight including the screen pass that padded Barkley's crappy stats.

As a Ohio State fan I am getting sick and tired of losing to the top ranked teams in the country and getting laughed at everytime they play a big game.I'm sick that he is living off his 2002 National Championship and he is so damn conservative it isnt even funny. The man can recruit but now Im starting to question that with the lack of speed on this team and big playmakers on offense. The defense is getting no rush and wearing down in the 4th quarter and you dont put no pressure on a Freshman with a corner blitz or something. Now granted this team really had no chance to win the national championship or anything like that because I know he is rebuilding this year but for christ sakes change your style a bit because what you are doing know isnt working in big games it might work with the lower teams in the BIG 10 but against the big boys you just dont have it.I know I am rambling on here but changes need to be made either to his staff or Tressel himself I guess we will wait and see and I know I will take some heat for writing this but who cares Im pissed off right now and I need to vent.

Stop complaining about Tressel.

You Luckeye fans should have referee Terry Porter on your Christmas card list for eternity for that 2002 National Championship PHANTOM call!

On fourth and 3, after an initial signal of defensive holding, a pass interference penalty was called by official Terry Porter on Miami defensive back Glenn Sharpe who held receiver Chris Gamble in the end zone. However the penalty was flagged after the play was completed and while Miami was celebrating an apparent victory, causing the call to become controversial.

I'm a Buckeye fan too.... I remember clowns like Earle Bruce and John Cooper well. They got outcoached ALL the time with superior talent. if you think OSU had more talent tonight than USC you oughta have your head examined.

I love how you forgot that Chris Gamble was inbounds and had first down with 2:31 left, but they called him out of bounds, I love you all forge that so fast.

Also, didn't Miami have 4 chances from the 2. They failed, fuck them.

Joe McKnight did. If you think Barkley did shit, you don't know shit about football.

While Joe did some great work, who got him the ball? Whether you want to admit it or not, Barkley does deserve some credit. Many QB's regardless of their experience do not deliver in these situations. So dismissing his work is ridiculous.

As long as he continues his dominance over us and is winning the Big Ten on a regular basis, he will remain the HC.

Tressel needs to go? You've won a title, been to a few more, win the big-10 by default most years and accomplishing all of this in a state that has 3 major cities known for financial misery. Sometimes we lose perspective when success becomes a commonplace, its time Ohio State fans show gratitude for the sweater vest. How soon we forget about Mr. Cooper.
