Well I have a choice to either Clean or Move this thread. Because the last couple of pages it's a Mess.

So I don't think it will make it to 60 pages

yep, I called it to a T

bought out on favorable terms, financial windfall, no vote by the owners which would have set themselves up for costly litigation lest they never made a disparaging remark in a private conversation.

people who thought there would be a 29-0 vote don't really know the legal system all that well. You can't vote to remove somebody for doing something you yourself have done, you can't force a partner out of the partnership for ethical violations if all or most or many of the other partners have committed ethical violations using the low standard you set.

Sterling walks away with more than twice the FMV of the franchise. I'm thinking other owners he's friends with and his family talked some sense into him. (1) take the money (2) don't put your friends in the league through a nightmare, you may lose friends.

I think his recently disclosed "mental incapacity" opens the door to remove the lifetime ban when things settle down. Can't do it just yet, would smell too fishy and there's still a lot of hate (oh the irony).

If the offer was for 1 billion dollars or less, I doubt we have such a convenient resolution.

PS: my two posts cited above were posted 5/5 and 5/7, long before the 2 billion dollars were put on the table

Sterling isn't krazy like I thought - Forbes estimated his team to be worth 750M and he got 1.25 Billion more - we should all be so lucky - laughing straight to bank

I guess you're done mocking akp about if the clippers are sold? Another one to add to wrong way's list.

Stick just running around calling people scum and liars.....once you move from that path and discuss actual issues and situations....you embarrass yourself.

I am back to ignoring him, just don't enjoy his ignorant non-stop drivel

I'll only read his "lock it or to the bank threads", looking to fade his losing ass that never seems to keep a consistent record for some weird reason. Why might that be?

I guess you're not back.

Lmao!!! Only Willie can twist and turn this in to something Sterling "chose" to do.

#1) He would have lost the battle with the owners
#2) The NBA would have taken his team and sold it
#3) You literally have no clue how much the team would be sold for if it wasn't sold through this process

He did not want to sell his team, he was forced to sell it. He had no legal ground to stand on, like I said, the NBA controls its own league and if they want an owner out it will be no problem for them. And they can do it very quickly.

The fact you are making this out to be Donald Sterling's doing and just what he wanted is beyond despicable. Kind of like the way he tried to pretend his election predictions were right even though he lost... lmao! Hilarious stuff.

I just can't even fathom how someone can convince themselves that they were right and Donald Sterling won. Hahahaha. All of this is based on their made up market valuations which they have literally no clue how much the team would sell for if Donald kept it and sold it when he wanted. Just hilarious how their minds work. But, we've known Wrong Way for years and nothing will ever change.

nobody was more right in this thread than me and it isn't even close

I called the sale price in the 1.5-2B range when people thought a billion would be a windfall.

Hmmmmm...it's close patsfan but i think me predicting willie would claim victory after being wrong......has you beat. However, i must admit my prediction was based on many past events......so maybe i will eventually concede to you.

You were one of the few that didn't buy in to all this movie like conspiracy nonsense. Everything from Sterling having all kinds of dirt on the other owners, to Sterling dragging this on for years, etc. But you are usually common sense driven that's why we get along. You're just a little more mature about it, lol.

But question, is that 1.5-2B range your thoughts on how much it would sell for regardless of the situation?

I personally think it would be in that range regardless of the situation based on the interest and offers.

Lmao!!! We got to 60 pages before they moved us! Great work guys. Thankfully this ordeal is over and now we can say what we really want. Dumbass racist Willie thinks his racist buddy Sterling won. You cannot write better comedy than that. The dude was forced to sell or the NBA would have sold it for them. Shelly even tried to keep a position in the team and the NBA said no fucking way. The NBA won this battle clearly and Sterling and his legal team knew from the beginning any fight against this would be useless. Sterling will end this without a single lawsuit and forced to sell his team, and he is the winner?? Lmao!!!
