When he hit the first 5 plays that parlay essentially becomes a straight bet on the cowboys over. Assuming -110 odds that parlay becomes a 754 to win 685+ bet on the cowboys over. risk 754.29 to win 685.71 if you want to be exact. same 1440 swing. 754.29 is 18.85x the original bet of 40

Nobody on here let’s it ride talking why hedge off the bet it you liked it or your losing value on the odds it’s what the casino wants. All that nonsense goes out the window the minute anyone on here steps foot in that situation
It’s like betting a -285 ML with a -110 line for $20 to get +150 odds. Who bets $20 on a two teamer with a -285 fave? Probability factor into the equation the extra $10 won vs two outcomes becoming correct is silly by the laws of probability and odds.

Once again this is why many online books have a buy-out option on parlays. They simply offer you a lesser amount then the expected value of where the parlay stands currently.

The fact you guys are even making parlays when you so dead set on hedging---why even make the parlay? You already took stupid odds to make the parlay and now your going to add on even more by hedging?
If you're going to do this why not just straight bet? When you straight bet do all you guys hedge at halftime? As soon as your team takes a lead? As soon as you can pull any sort of profit? At what point is it silly to hedge for some of you?

To not hegde implies the strategy of deploying 6-team parlays is a winner long term. ,don't interfere as you're eating into long term gains...ride out the strategy ,the ups and downs .That of course is untrue , a recipe to have capital at $0 very fast .
Anyone doing 6-team parlays are doing such for shits and giggles and when you have $500 or so locked in profit ? Not that tough a call, for me at least lol .That's a summer's worth of ProV1s fellas ..unless playing Sawgrass regularly. Bulls and bears make money, pigs get slaughtered
