How much stock do you put into the pinny line ?
Like when they put out a line (+ money) different than 80% of the other books ?
LOL, Good Answer !
But Not the one I was looking for :drink:
When a # looks off, it could be Many Reasons. But the Biggest one is
BALANCE
The Books will keep a # for Balance. They can get Tons of action on One side, so they put up a number that will make the Avg. Joe THINK, something is wrong.
One of the first things a Bettor will do is Look to see if anyone is Out.
But there is No Key players Out, so what gives ?? Something might be wrong here.
The Linemakers will put a Number out there, that will give Equal Action.
You have to remember, the Book wants and Makes a Lot of Money Just on the Juice Alone.
Of course there are Other Key reasons that go along with the Above.
First off I totally agree with RUDE most over used words in sports and I just can't stand hearing them it is like people want a pat on the back and I just want winning bets secondly the books do want equal action on games but this (usually) never is accomplished.....there are so many tools to use like fading the public or watching line action.....I don't know one tool that works all of the time at a high percentage BTW this a great thread (or are we over thinking everything again) .......well it is an informative thread
SO what is one of your favorite tools betallsports...............and btw one thing that drives me nuts about gambling is you almost take football or whatever sport completely out of it.............for instance seriously who in there right mind would have taken the texans(ME) to beat the ravens I know......they say on any given sunday..........but come on to me that was free money and I have a couple sharps (HEHEHEHE) I like to watch or educated bettors ( more educated than me at least) and so I take the texans because they take the texans
This is complete garbage!
Sharps never ever bet on bad teams! Ever!
No sharp would bet on a team facing injuries and is on an obvious d
Sorry But you are Wrong. From the list below....Not saying All of these are Bad teams ( but 4 are sure )... Sharps were on.....
Jacksonville at Cincinnati game ? Cincinnati
N.Y. Jets at Buffalo game ? N.Y Jets
Detroit at Chicago game ? Detroit
Tampa Bay at Kansas City game ? KC
Green Bay at Tennessee game ? GB
Miami at Denver game ? Miami
Pittsburgh at Washington game ? Pitt
and this past thursday
Denver at Cleveland game ? Denver
But you decided to post them any way?Not saying All of these are Bad teams
But you decided to post them any way?
:nohead:
My statement stands firm! and uncontested by this bullshit you yet again posted!
You simply found a bunch of underdogs and you come back claiming that sharps were on them.. That is complete bullshit and i will call you out on it!
Its bullshit its bullshit!
Well since I know Nothing  I'll just take a guess SF
I'm thinking that the sharps who like SF got them at +10.
I'm on Ari -9.5 .. So you can guess what that makes me.
I see alot of cappers on Arizona, but here is what amazes me. They majority of them have them at -10. Are you f'in kiding me.
Why the f would you not shop around or buy and get -9.5 ?
Some people will never learn.
Best of luck everyone.
I still think the Best ( or First Tool ) is if there are any RLM on a game.
So tell me Why you took the Texans ? The Line ? Ravens on the Road ?
I took them because of those cappers I like to follow I liked the ravens but alot the guys who I like to check online were on the texans and actually if you want to hear something crazy if I HATE my bet it usaully wins (NOT this weekend though) so is RLM (reverse line movement)
so are the sharps typically looking for the under valued underdog, or a team like san fran where everyone takes zona but line doesnt move for a week
