I think I may be insane but I might be siding with rail here.

It may be the only time ever I do this. but Peyton was given his chance from day one, Kurt thas had to earn it from his days at UNI, to his days in St Louis and now his days in Arizona.

Not sure if Warner is the better player overall, but he isnt real far behind Peyton at this point today in 2008.

Peyton wasn't given anything. He was good and everyone knew it. 176 consecutive starts from day 1.

Welp, I guess Warner is better than one of the greatest QB's off all time based on his rookie year.

Warner wouldnt have double clutched and taken a sack on his 1 yard line against an 8-8 team like Manning just did

Manning has obviously had a better regular season career since he has been more consistent, not been injured and racked up more stats.

But still Warner has the highest avg passing yds per game, has the highest percentage of 300 yard games in history (he has more 300 yard games than Manning in 60+ less games)
and since he was not a first round can't miss draft pick like Manning, you could argue he has accomplished more in the playoffs and Manning was playing on better teams

I want to know how many ints Manning threw in those 7 playoff losses? Its got to be well into the 20's.

throw out the 1 year where Manning hid behind his defense and runningback and he is 3-7.

If you 'throw out' the 2 first round playoff blowouts of the Jake Plummer led Broncos that Indy had where they scored 90 points and Manning had 9 TDs and 1 int, Manning's career playoffs stats are 12 TDs and 16 INTS in the other 12 games........

The Colts average 3 wins per season without Manning over the last 10 years - Warner is irrelevant whether he plays or not.

12tds and 16ints is right.

Also there has been atleast 4 dropped ints that I have seen tonight. And that against a pretty soft defense that is injured.

Manning is a panic artist when the season is on the line, something happens to him after Christmas that he becomes really patheitc.

In Manning's 11 full years as a starter, he has made the playoffs 9 years. In 6 of those years, the Colts lost in the first round (or the first game they played which is even worse since it would be a home game after a bye)

In Warner's 4 full years as a starter, he has made the playoffs each year, with 2 Superbowls, and only 1 first round loss.

Both of these guys also owe a lot of their success to playing in a dome, Warner has never even had a playoff game outside and Manning's playoff stats suck without the 2 big home wins vs Denver

Manning definitely is one of the best regular season QBs ever but as far as the playoffs.....he just got bounced in the 1st round again by this genius:

That holding call on an interior defensive linemen on a running play was extremely convenient for the chargers.

um peyton threw 26 touchdowns! and started straight out of college unlike warner who played in the AFL then sat on the bench for a year before starting a game in the NFL.
