Laying off the rest of the card this weekend even though I'd like to think the Argos are gonna win one at home in the rematch of last season's Grey Cup...

Eh, maybe when I get back from work I'll change my mind... a lot of things point Toronto's way right now, but I've gotta be at work in about 30 minutes... so best of luck tonight gentlemen.

Got under 51 in the BC-TOR game and need SAS -2.5 to complete my teaser.

BC is stacked this year, and Dave Dickenson played lights out all preseason.. I think they get their revenge tonight from that close Grey Cup loss. Adding one of the top DB's in the game,, Barron Miles from Montreal in the offseason was huge as it addressed their big weakness... This is two of the top 4 teams in the CFL going at it here and should be a good one.. Toronto #1 RB John Avery will be out tonight due to injury.. Good luck on your Sask. pick their Scott, I have them in a moneyline parlay with Montreal and Edmonton so hoping my Roughriders can pull that one out..

If SAS can't beat this WIN team at home, they have some real problems.

Alright, you all have talked me into it...

Saskatchewan (-8) vs. Winnepeg (2 units -113)

Was leaning that way anyway... and you've talked me out of the other play. Leaving Orlando for Tallahassee shortly, but should be back in town by the end of the game.

Best-

I chickened out at half of the BC-TOR game and bet the second half over 24.5, thinking that it would go over the 51 I had. Of course, it lands 47, but could have gone over on the next to last TOR play if the receiver had caught that ball. Oh well, as long as SAS doesn't have an meltdown of biblical proportions, will be a 2-1-1 start to the season.

Sweet! 31-8 Roughriders, blowing out a clearly inferior Winnepeg team... Hope the BC/Tor game made for at least one decent game this week... Looks like it by the stats. Note that favorites will likely end up 3-1 this week.

Perhaps it's just the radio coverage, but is it louder in Saskatchwan than any of these other stadiums? Just based off of the radio coverages that I've heard, fans seem to get a lot rowdier here over less than anything, almost AFL-esque... Just curious for those watching on TV or have experience in Canada.

Nice nice... TD Roughriders... feeling really good about this one... be back in about an hour with the recap of this, a very successful first week of the CFL season.

Here's to assuming that the Roughriders don't completely collapse here... recap for the week...

Saskatchewan (-8) vs. Winnepeg W (+2 units)
Edmonton vs. Ottawa under 56 L (-1.53 units)
Ottawa (ml) @ Edmonton L (-0.5 units)
Edmonton vs. Ottawa under 28 1st half Push (------)

Edmonton vs. Ottawa under 28.5 L (2nd half) (-0.5 units)
Edmonton (-4) vs. Ottawa 2nd half W (+2.5 units)
Hamilton (+12) @ Montreal W (+3 units)

Record: (3-3) (3-2 ATS)
Net: (+4.97 units)

Not too shabby of a start... I'd take 5 units a week times 18 games a season... but I know I won't be so fortunate, and one would be wise to fade my selections from here on for awhile until I get the hang of it. Beginners luck shall too wear off.

We're gonna have 4 road favorites next week, and at least a couple of them double digits. Seems like teaser time again for me probably.

Guru, I used to attend University of Saskatchewan and made it to many Sask RoughRider games, about 90% of which I cannot remember :drink: . Their is a nice big 30,000 seat stadium there and is a real treat to watch a football game as the atmosphere is awesome. The sport fans there love their football and are very passionate as it is really the only major sporting event around. I go to BC Lions games in Vancouver now played in a big dome, it's just not near the same experience and the fans don't get even close to excited as those hardcore Rider fans..

Know what you mean Van Fan, I lived in Regina for a long time. They had such a bad team for years nice to see they have a good one the last few years, They really need that home playoff game, everyone knows it!! They have not hosted a playoff game since 1988!!! Hope they are there in the end this year, killed me when MCallum missed that chop shot in BC last year to go to the Cup.
What worries me is BC in my mind has an even better squad then last year,
