Ottawa shooting themselves... INT in the end zone erased by roughing the passer... Sure to be an Edmonton TD here...

Can someone explain "no yards" to me... I don't understand the concept and it seems to be called on every punt.

Eskimos up 29-9 with a few ticks left in the 3rd

Lol... Ottawa commentators...

"Poor Kerry Joseph. This is getting dangerous. He could get hurt"

That was after the 7th freakin' sack allowed by the Renegades in this one. Still 29-9 and it doesn't look like Ottawa's gonna score anymore in this one to be quite honest with you. Quite a horrible offensive performance for ANY level of football.

I bet that I know one team that is gonna have a really rough practice week......losing isn't the problem....the 593 yards in penalties is......

My under is still holding on...

I think the under will be fine because it requires Edmonton to get to 47 in this game... again, I don't think Ottawa's scoring, but perhaps John Molson or someone physically watching the game could give you a better idea... Ottawa +12 is in big big trouble... Being on the Eskimos in the 2nd half makes me very happy... 10-0 Eskimos so far in the half, and I believe it'll be at least 7-10 points more before its said and done.

OTT has 5 first downs and 7 sacks allowed. Ouch. Team is starting out the way it finished last year.

Ricky Ray's gotta be having a career day yardage-wise in this one too... Not bad for a guy on a bum leg. Can't believe Edmonton's driving in Ottawa territory AGAIN. Seems like this Ottawa team has just given up and is making way too many mistakes.

NO YARDS is because since there is no fair catch in the CFL, the punting team MUST give the receiver 5 yards from where the receiver touches the ball, even if it hits and rolls. I think the punter is an exception: if he gets down there he can get closer than 5 yards.

Okay, that makes some sense... I know there's no fair catching in this game, but I guess it makes sense... I'll catch on quick Scott, no worries... So far, beginner's luck is treating me well.

And yes, the intentional safety is common. If you punt from your EZ, the other team will practically be in FG range upon receiving the punt, so why not give up 2 points and get a whole lot better field position. With a 110 yard field, field position is everything in this game.

31-9 Eskimos... I'd say my 2nd half is safe... o/u looks great with I believe I just heard 9 and change minutes left, but I'd be a bit worried if Ottawa ever scores again in this one.

Kinda like the "give up defense" in the AFL I guess... made some sense to me when I first heard it. Logic being you're conceding a point already, and the way your defense has played, you're likely giving up 3... so you may as well give up the couple points and give them the ball back on their own 35.

9 minutes left, and Ottawa is real happy they conceded the two points... Edmonton down to the Renegade 20...

OTT offense responsible for 1 point tonight. I thought the HAM offense was bad Wednesday. HAM looked like Oklahoma compared to OTT tonight.

Lol... Ottawa couldn't score on an AFL field tonight either, and the way they're playing they could go 12 on 7 and still not score...

And you do know that each team gets only 1 timeout per half, and after a made FG the opposition can elect to take the ball at their own 35 instead of having the other team kick off.

I came close to taking OTT +17 instead of EDM -5 for the first half of my teaser, but my worry was OTT scoring. I just wasn't sure about their offense. I am now! IT SUCKS.

if it wasn't mentioned yet and for those that do not know, EDM is the only team with a grass field.

Good stuff Tom... very useful information when dealing with the "intangibles"

In the AFL this year, I was doing my best on intuition, and I'm very afraid that just going off of statistics and some injury reports without knowing a hell of a lot about the game could burn me at the beginning. But the hope is that this becomes on the job training and can figure this out like the AFL.
