Poor call here by Austin... they should have kicked the FG. Gotta take points when you've got them, especially when the crowd comes back in the game after the run was stuffed. I feel better than Foster made a bad call and Fitzgerald made a bad pass.
If Vegas starts jumping routes, we might have ourselves a rout in this game... Fitzgerald won't have the time to throw deep and will be facing bump and run in the 2nd half almost guaranteed.
Vegas finally tried a bomb that worked, but was called by for off-setting penalties... more clock being eaten, Vegas inside the Austin 20 with about 8:45 left in the 2nd.
Solid, solid drive by LV that featured a nice mix of slants, curls, a deep ball, and some hard nosed running in short yardage situations. Offense looks pretty good. I like what I see in this game on all regards. Austin takes over on their own 5.
6 Austin plays, 7 points... once again, I'll take that ratio all day, because you're not scoring on every drive.... with under 3 minutes left in the half, it's 14-13 PAT pending with a Wrangler down
Lol... Austin just looked like the Bad News Bears on that PAT... bad snap and a bad hold. Kicker goes to get and kicks air because the ball isn't there... LV picked it up but couldn't bring it all the way back (would be 2 points for Vegas if they had). Just a funny looking play. So 14-13 at this point.
I still like what I see out of the Gladiators here.
21-13 Vegas at the half. I lost my picture a few minutes ago so I've been relying on stats alone... But from what I saw, Vegas' defense was dominant again inside the 10... 1 for 3 in scoring for Austin. The offense has looked methodical, and I expect things to be okay in the 2nd half. Let these ride. No 2nd halfers.
apparently Craig Whelihan on this drive fumbled and threw a completed pass on 1st down, threw a ball at a defender's head on 2nd down and was to have the ability to throw it away on 3rd down. Vegas gives back the ball off of a missed FG... Austin takes over at the Vegas 16
