So my personal recap of this game, which ended Austin 42 - Vegas 41... We got screwed by Craig Whelihan again. He threw the TD in the end zone that changed the game instead of throwing it away. Austin picked up a net recovery that acted as a bonus stop... All of the stats say that Vegas dominated this game, particularly on the defensive end. But that's the AFL and those are the breaks. We got a bit unlucky in this one, but we're not gonna let it get us down. I still think we've got a massive card ahead of us this weekend even though we basically threw away that unit on over 5.5 home teams today too... f*cking Austin...

Anyway, this week thus far...

Las Vegas (-3.5) vs. Austin L (-4 units)
Las Vegas/Austin under 101.5 easy W (+2.86 units)

For the week: 1-1 (-1.14 units)... had it right til the very end... chalk it up in the bad break column and go on. Still have the bright looking Sunday card. This should motivate Tampa and Georgia, right?

YTD...

Against the opening line: 11-6
Against that same closing line: 10-6-1

Sides Record: 7-9 (-4.63 units)
Totals Record: 12-4 (+19.88 units)
Parlays: 1-2 (+0.55 units)
2nd half: 2-3 (-1.87 units)
Teasers: 0-1 (-3 units)
Props: 1-1 (+0.52 units)

Composite Record

YTD: 23-21 (52.3%... really crappy, I know...)
Net: +11.45 units

Oh, and my personal apologies to those that took Austin... even though I never got a good reason as to why to take them, and even after they not only covered, but won the game outright, I still fail to find a reason behind it. Certainly not in the coaching job of Foster... man's a terrible coach...

You didn't like my reasoning? I'm hurt...

You might take a closer look at the Ari-LA game. Arizona is doing some roster changes, including trying someone new at Center.

That's right, one person did give me reasoning I guess... nice job Daringly. LA's on my no bet list... they piss me off too much. 1-3 in LA games this year. The roster changes for Arizona can't turn up much worse than they looked last week.

Okay boys and girls, Spring Break starts now. Out of this hell hole until Friday night. I'll be back here tomorrow evening with a recap. Do the best I can to get picks up here fast on Tuesday afternoon, but no promises. Let's hit 'em hard tomorrow... give me a bit more money to spend on the break! Get 'em Preds tomorrow afternoon. When I get back from the game, I'll check in with the full recap of what's gone on in the day... The Tampa game should be just ending by then and the Georgia game should be the 4th quarter, so I might catch the very end of it. Hopefully they do better than Vegas did last night. Still can't get over that.

Anyway, if I'm not around too much in the next 6 days or so, that's why. Best wishes and best of luck.

I'm gonna pretend like I didn't read that right before I left BT... I never claimed to be better than anyone on this board. I'm not that pompous of an a$$. I don't want myself compared to other cappers on this board because it's not fair to any of us on here. My record might not be the greatest, but the units are there, and I believe as long as I am in the positive, I'm doing something right for this forum. If you choose to not listen to me, please keep your comments to yourself. I really don't care if you want to see other cappers come back in this sport. I know I've got a following here, and anyone that has followed should be winning. That's more than I can say for the majority of cappers on therx in general. Lots of good folks, but a lot of fools scattered in.

So if you want to bash me, take it elsewhere... like the rubber room... leave my thread alone.

And Daringly should be the AFL guru... If I'm better than him, there's a major issue. But he doesn't post here very often (sorry daringly, not trying to put words in your mouth or speak for you)... And if you want to talk about me, why don't you shut up and post your plays? I don't see your name anywhere on here and haven't seen it anywhere before. If you don't know the game, go away. I don't chime in anywhere else and neither should you if you don't know what you're talking about.

Sorry I had to leave on such rough terms. See you all tomorrow night.

AFLguru,

I like you, think you are a great capper, BUT you did come here and chase
away the other "Legitimate" cappers..With your pompous ways...

I'm not the smartest cappers of the Arena, PPete is way better than me, OldDog always has good info...

Daringly, being that he's Pinnys capper , enough said...its our job to beat him

It's also, our job, to beat him betting our OWN money, we are not TOUTS, we go to the window with our bets....That being said, we try to NOT NOT NOT ruin the board by playing early, and certainly not by divulging what we should play.....You've done a great job, keep it up, I get value playing against

So, if you have a "HUGE" play, bet it and keep it to yourself, there may be a few of us "pro" players who would like to play before the " FOLLOWERS"..

Been There,

Why should AFLG need to keep his "huge" plays to himself. He's got the right to post plays just like the other guys posting their plays. If you as a "professional" player can't find valuebefore he moves the lines then obviously your not as good as you think you are. Exploit every advantage. Use his plays to middle or get opposite sides at massive value. AFL Guru has been hit and miss on sides so you should be able to find plays that he is wrong on and hammer the other side. On his over/under plays he has been solid so you better get your plays in quick. Regardless, telling a poster to keep his big plays to himslef is just moronic. Everyone posting plays wants the best record possible for any number of reasons. So, not posting his "huge" plays would be detrimental to his record. I am still struggling to understand a supossed professional player asking a 19 year old 1st year poster to keep his plays to himself.

Stickie,

Nice post, I agree totally...I was wrong when I said to AFL
that he was pompous...( albeit ), ( My apologies AFLg) ,he tortured Tampa Luke...

If I was to post my #'s BEFORE pinny put them up, nobody would get
to the "original" #...

Easier said than done,....but I'll give you an example this week..

Stay tuned...

We're all racing to bet the openers, the same #,
Fine , NP,but since Pinny takes such small limits and has a
1 minute time-out feature so u can't re-bet...

1 Q

Am I supposed to release my #'s early, and then take the 2nd #
I.E., put them on a public biard and have my customers get
a better line

I.E., off the top of my head, most recent is 2 weeks back...

Phl was at home agaist NO, game opened at 97, went off 108,actually,gamtime last punch made it 110...

I caught some at 97,because the limits are so small early, and I wanted to
play more, I had to play over 100 for my 2nd play...So I couldn't make a full bet...

Bottom line, if I post my #'s here,MW,Peeps,Covers,MadJacks, etc,
early, everybody would be racing to get to the same #

That being said, I will, look for them this week.

If necessary, I'll post the #'s Sunday night, and then we'll all race
to make the same play.....If thats what you want, so be it

BT

PS

AFLguru, I was wrong saying "pompous" ,I apologize

........

The books are watching, but I doubt Daringly and the like are going to change their numbers much based on a post that says what someone thinks the line should be. Again, if you can come up with better numbers than the books all the power to you. AFL is still so new bettors can take advantage of the lines more so than in the main stream sports. WNBA is an example as well where people have been able to clean up.

Been_There, good luck next week however you decide to play it out.

Hey Been There--AFL Guru tries to help out those of us who don't have a good grasp on the AFL for betting purposes. If you object to his posting early because "professionals" like you want to get down before the "squares" like us bet, why don't you just post under your own thread and trick the bookmakers by recommending the wrong side of a game. If the oddsmakers think you are as good a handicapper as you obviously think you are, they will move the line and give you even more line value for your "real" play. Think about it. And start your own thread. I want to read AFL Guru's thoughts in this thread--not yours.

Come on Vegas Vice, If you post bad pics no one gives you any respect and the lines won't move. Successful cappers move the lines not random wrong posts. The books don't move lines based on posting forums they move on action. Money moves lines not words. You only see lines moving this way in small sports. Too much action on one side in these fledgling sports. NBA,MLB NFL has a much greater audience and wagers come in an both sides. Thus, smaller line moves.

what is wrong with guru posting his plays early? i still don't understand your logic. i mean i understand the fact that it hurts you and "professional" bookmakers but come on dude, this is not a tout site or a professional site. it's great what guru does, he posts his plays for all of us to follow and wins more often than not. he could be a greedy man and keep all these plays to himself or post the wrong plays to get the lines to move other ways, but he doesn't. he's a great capper and he's great for this board. so if you don't like it leave the board

Okay, so here's what we're looking at... Tampons up 12 with a few seconds left. Anything above that, you just got backdoored... sorry...

Georgia's up 35-21 on Columbus early in the third with the ball... under looking questionable, Georgia looking pretty good. From the numbers, Matt D'Orazio has been lights out...

Okay, the Orlando game briefly... Barry Wagner scored 3 times... and that was the difference in the game. Orlando's WRs are terrible and it would surprise me if all of them get removed from the team in the coming week. Fleming comes back for the trip to New Orleans, and I expect Anthony Bright to join off the practice squad. San Jose simply beat Orlando down from the beginning. They're back. And they're for real. Orlando fans got pretty pissed after Jay Gruden got tossed thanks to some awful officiaiting that he went irate at. They started chanting bull-sh*t quite loud... dunno if NBC could hear it or not... but the PA dude came on and said "Though that might be true, you can't say that on national television." Greatest line of the night.

Anyway, Orlando looks to regroup with the trip to deadly New Orleans... Voodoo should take care of business, but the only loss they have at home in their history is against Orlando... that being said, anything could happen. And everyone in the west look out... the Sabercats are getting healthy and are for real. Jungle is just as loud as I remember... I'm pretty hoarse myself (I'd be lying if I said I wasn't in on the BS chants...).

I'll leave some updates here for the next hour or so until the Georgia game comes to a close.
