This is what I get for betting on a team I hate on. At least I hit my prop play. So I didn't end up getting totally killed tonight.

How stupid is Broyles from OU for talking shit about Tebow? Even his head coach and players are trying to distance themselves from him. Shows the difference between Texas players and Oklahoma players.....

It's not any different than Tebow talking about how he can't wait to face a Big 12 defense. In the large scope of things, neither statement that either player said means anything.

Well, I agree in "the larger scope". But if you read Urban's book, you'll see how he gets these things into the front, back and sides of his players heads. I guarantee this has a bearing on getting Tebow and Co fired up. No way on god's green earth OU wins this game after these immature, off the cuff comments. Even Stoops had to say something about the question being one that his player unfortunately didn't understand and unfortunately made some wrong comments. You almost never see coaches running the other way; usually they've got their players backs.....not this time. If there's one player you don't talk shit about, it's Tebow (and I'm not a Tebow guy). But this will have a difference in how these young kids get motivated for this game.

And if I can say something about tonight's Texas game:

This was BY FAR the worst performance of the Texas offense, including Colt McCoy's season. I know he passed for such and such and took the team down for the game winning TD, but Texas should've scored AT LEAST 34 points in this game, going away. The INT at the end of the 1st half was his worst throw this year, EASILY. He actually looked like the Colt of last year. So it's great Texas won and all, but this was a very poorly played last game. At least they got the win. But this wasn't what anyone was expecting. And as for poor Blake Gideon, at least he won't have to listen to how he lost BOTH games this year for Texas. The play against Pryor in the corner of the end zone, and the play that Wells broke his ankles on both went for TD's (the only 2 of the night). He could've very easily been the goat again. I can't believe Texas didn't score more than 30 points though (I had money on Texas's team total of over 30, so I'm quite bitter).

Oh quit whining and just admit that your team was overrated. Colt McCoy got his bell wrung all night long. No wonder he wasn't his normal self. Things can change quite a bit when the other team actually plays defense and gets after the QB, something that Texas hasn't had to deal with much this season. The Texas running game was despicable.

JB...Just admit it, Texas sucked tonight and showed they didn't belong in the BCS title game.

no mention of texas getting helped out by a bunch of roughing penalties...

your team had a great year, no one expected them to do so well (preseason out of the top 10), enjoy it...but don't tell us how poorly they played.

they played poorly because they haven't faced a defense like that all season or a running game like that all season

Texas showed a preview of what USC's running game of McKnight/Gable/Johnson would do to the UT front seven. USC would control the whole game if they played UT, it's really to bad they couldn't have a chance to beat that ass.

Hey no doubt, a win is a win. And a BCS win is nothing to sneeze at. But you were the one comparing Texas to USC and claiming that it would be a repeat of the Ohio State/SC game. I think you just overestimated your squad's talent level. And in this forum, all we care about is ATS success.

People outside of the Sooners- Longhorns rivalry just don't get it....we truly don't like one another, and quite honestly hate one another. End of story. For this season to have unfolded the way it did only added fuel to the fire. Yes, I, along with all of Longhorn nation are bitter, and for anyone to honestly think that any true Longhorn fan would root for the Sooners to actually win due to some Big 12 loyalty or split mythical national championship is on acid.

But that doesn't cut it in the BCS system. I'll just break it down like this for you:

A no question USC win over PSU>>>>>>>>>>Squeaker win over Ohio State

A full 60 minute Utah win over Alabama>>>>>>>>>>>>>Squeaker win over Ohio State

Sure a win is a win, but that doesn't cut it in the BCS system and UT fans should know this.

I never said or insinuated that a USC - Texas game would have the same outcome as that game.

You think the OU-UT rivarly is the only rivalry that works that way? :think2:
