GS - Did you look at the game tonight?

I've liked the way GT has played early in the year, but it sure seems like Miami is playing the best of the POS ACC. I like Miami's athletes on defense and may have the ability to limit the option attack.

Just checking to see if you had run the numbers on this one. Thanks!
I lean to Ga Tech..But I'm going to take a look at this game a little closer before I play it...GL

GL Sooner, Like both of your ACC plays so far, glad to see WF made the cut for a best bet. Congrats on another great season... Am very tempted to follow you on your Sooners Sat night.

GS, I know your not a big trend guy but this sure supports your BYU pick (from thegoldsheet)

In the “Holy War,” the dog is 12-3 since ‘93, with 10 of past 11 decided by TD or less!

With you on 5 of them already. I'm going to look into Stanford vs Cal tomorrow.

GL this week my friend
VOR..I think with this being the week for alot of in-state rivalries, that we're going to see alot of closer than expected games..I'm very tempted to take Indiana against Purdue. As a rule I hate to play bad teams. But a 3-8 team being double digit favorites over an instate rival seems like a bunch. I don't care if this is Tiller's last game. This is a pretty big line over a team who can score points..Indiana is the running dogs in this game too..VOR take a look at that game and tell me what you think.

Yes, I just saw that on the net a while ago. I think it said the underdog is 8-2 in the last 10 games. There's a reason for that...These schools are very bitter rivals..BYU would like nothing more than to burst their bubble..I like my chances.

Nice Card

GoSooners, I absolutely LOVE your card and analysis for this weekend's action you have posted so far.

I actually got BYU at +7.5 at The Greek, buying the "hook" for the -10 juice. BYU +7.5 -120 looks like a VERY SOLID play to me.

I managed to get in on Mississippi +4.5 when the lines opened Sunday. I agree 100% with your assessment of that game.

Also, just bet WF -1.5 just now. Got in on NC State +11 earlier this week. I expect a shootout in that game.

I want to take Stanford +9 over California. Especially after the way Harbaugh has proven to be a "betting man's" coach with his last second ATS covers vs. San Jose State and USC this season. Wondering if Stanford's O can deal with the Cal defense? On the flip side, can the Stanford D handle Cal's O? Still on the fence with this one.

Still waiting for Texas Tech money to pour in to shrink the number back to under 7 so I can hammer Oklahoma. Hope this happens.

OK, we now all prepare for the dreaded Dr. Bob to spring up in the next hour or so. :scared1:

Forget first half, what about first quarter? OU has been money this year in the first 15 minutes. These defenses usually don't know what hit them..It usually takes them a half to adjust and settle down against OU fast paced offense. Even Texas got jumped on in the first quarter by the Sooners in the first 3 minutes of the game..And that was on a neutral field..I think TT will have trouble adjusting on the road to the Sooners offensive speed, which looks even faster when the game is played at night.

i like that too, but im not sure my book has 1st quarters. if they do it is first quarter, first half, and full game on ou for me. i like everything else, hope you run the table. im also gonna wait on OU after dr bob releases and hope he has texas tech....i really want a 6.5 instead of 7 here

I am curious to see what Dr. Bob does..I'm betting he'll be on at least 2 of my plays...As for Stanford, this is probably my shakiest play. But for the last couple years I've regretted not betting Stanford in this game. I decided I'm going to do it this time..Especially with this much on the line. It would be a big feather in Harbaugh's cap if he can make his team bowl eligible in his second year.. But Cal's defense is very good at causing turnovers..This is how they've been winning games..If Stanford keeps it clean and don't turn the ball over, I think they cover this spread.

I don't play quarters or halfs very often, but when I do I go through Bookmaker...I was lucky to get the 6.5 on OU. It changed to 7 just a couple hours later and hasn't moved back.

Dang! Dr. Bob is on Utah!

He steamed it up to -8 just now.

If I would have waited, I could've gotten the +8 without the extra juice I paid to get +7.5 -120. :ohno:

Oh well. Such is life. Go Mormons!

Update: peeps are hitting BYU hard and it's settling back down to 7. Sharp money?

I heard that GoSooners took Wake Forest because it was easier to spell the coaches name in his writeup.

Just curious...did you underestimate TT against OSU as much as, say...Voice of Reason who LOVED getting points against them. (no disrespect VoR if you read this, this question is also kind of for you)

If so, do you think you might be underestimating them again?

Georgia Tech (-3) over Miami **

This became a play for me when the line got down to -3..I'll go with the better running game and better coach playing at home. Miami not used to the spread option attack. Veteran GT defense gets it done in a close game. Plus it's the Thursday night home team, which has been money this season.

It's possible that I could be underestimating TT..But I just happen to think it's more possible that the public is underestimating OU.
