This is the problem though, you ask 1 quick question on DFS. Get 1-2 answers and then bam "Christie what would be your energy policy..."
That's Christie's fault. He ridiculed the question, instead of talking about the issue, something these candidates are doing constantly tonight. They are not the questioners.

Sensationalizing the "insider trading" was weak.

Wish they talked DFS longer, that was funny as hell.

Yea but he is basically pro DFS.
Certainly not enough to get me to vote for him but it was nice to hear.

I would have loved to hear what Huck and Cruz had to say about it.

Thats the problem with this debate.
They are asking the wrong people these questions.

There must have been 10 times tonight where they would ask A a question but I would rather hear B answer the question.

In some ways its a lot deeper then DFS.

It gets into these peoples fundamental principles on what they think Governments role is in people's lives.

Its not the worst question they asked tonight by far.

I agree, but Christie cut off any further discussion of it, which would have been great.

That was intentional. They're trying to make them look bad.

Yeah if it wasn't him then I'm guessing it would've been someone else. You know none of these guys wanna talk about daily fantasy being legal or not.

Chop is right, imagine if they asked Huckabee or Cruz about it.

Just way too many people.
Unwatchable.

At this point does it really matter what Huck and Paul think?

Carson not getting hardly any time at all and is a leader in the polls.

Its amazing how far baseball has fallen.

20 years ago they would have never dared show a debate during the world series.

It would not have even been a thought.

Yeah definitely. Not even a question.

Q. "Should daily fantasy sports be considered gambling?" A. "First of all, I'm 7-0 in my fantasy football league,"

If he would have had Graham id put his sign in my yard. JK

You know if I had to look in the mirror and pick the person who most closely shares my most core beliefs I would have to pick Paul.

Its just there are a few very important issues that I disagree with him so strongly on that it almost totally erases the 90% that I agree with.

Republicans have one shot and one shot only.

If Rubio is not the nom get use to saying President Clinton.

Thats all there is to it.

Yeah, I don't blame the candidates really. Format was terrible.

Too many candidates, subject matter all over the place. If you want good discussion on a subject like monetary policy or free trade or taxation or debt then you're going to have to spend 10-15 minutes talking about exclusively that very subject. At the least...

I've always liked Paul but he has 0 chance because most Republicans don't really believe in small government or liberty. Sure it sounds nice, but once you start to talk about what it really means then it is a no go. He is polling at 2% for a reason.

Did you see Jeb talking about Rubios attendance record at the beginning? Just pure political theater BS.

It's scary how little substance there is to these things.

That was pretty funny, and stupid of him, to basically call himself a uniter, not a divider. His goal should be to separate himself from W, not remind the voters yet again that he's the same failed guy.

I feel like nobody goes up, nobody goes down.

It was that useless.

The only person that maybe goes up is Cruz for calling the spectacle out for what it was.

Taping the debate but reading these comments. Bummer as I love everybody on CNBC, especially Kelly Evans. Hard to believe it's this bad as many here say. I watch at different times most days and their interviews with CEOs etc are usually great. Is Rick Santelli on the panel? He's definitely not a dem, no way. I've seen Christie on Squawk Box in the morning. He's usually very candid and comfortable with Becky, Joe and Andrew. Usually a few laughs as well.
I wish Mark Haines was still around. RIP
