How about the fading Crimson Tide today. They deserved it.Winston lit up Frazier and anybody else that was on him.Now they will probably lose at Auburn.

2*Pepperdine-1.5
Pepperdine has been playing a little better as of late and beat this team by 15 earlier in the year.

2*BC-5(buy.5)
The move is on Rutgers, but I like BC here. They have been tough at home while Rutgers has only a pair of road wins.BC will have the inside edge with their big trio inside. They will need Hailey,Marshall, and Hinnant to give them some scoring from the outside. For Rutgers,Lamizana is tough inside and they play solid team defense. Shields and Douby are both capable of lighting it up for Rutgers, but they can be inconsistent with their shooting which makes me play against them here.

2*Villanova +6.5
The Cats have been inconsistent as far as wins and losses, but they have been competitive in every conference road game. They are 3-3 with their worst loss being a 7 point defeat at WV.Nova has plenty of scoring punch with 4 double digit scorers and I am sure they feel they can get in the tournament if they turn it up a notch.Syracuse has not been impressive at home or on the road lately,so it is hard not to take the points here.

Will probably add at least two of these leans.Curious to know what Mr.Obvious thinks about the Southern League games as he seems to have a good handle on this league.

Colorado State+9.5-San Diego State has not won a game by double figures in 2 months.

New Mexico+10

Georgia Southern-13

Western Carolina +5.5

Denver-6.5-Already hammered NMState earlier and now get them off a tough Saturday game.

BYU-5.5 Mormons seem to be playing better. With AF off a tough win at Utah, I like the spot for the Cougars.

GL on nova

my opinion is that the teams are similar but I am not gonna take a chance on cuse stepping it up at home with a possibility for a big win down the stretch...

I am on Nova as well. Cuse only 3-9 Ats at home. Nova 10-2 Ats on the road. Looks good , gl and Aloha CC.

With the effort against G-town by Syracuse, Nova is a solid pick.

Good thing I did not play my other leans. They were really close.

Going to continue to play 1 or 2 games no matter how many leans I have.

3*Pitt-7
1*Pitt-3.5(1st half)
Pitt is one of the few teams I will lay this many on the road against against a crap opponent.Georgetown cannot shoot straight to begin with and will be stifled by Pitt's tough defense.Dixon is doing a nice job with this squad and they will stay on track to get a number one seed.I have sucked with first half plays this year, but feel good enough to play it here.

I'm with you Tide. 1st half, 2nd half, game, on the moon. Pitt should cover it all.

Well In Spades,I hope you played Pitt for the second half to get back the first half money we lost.Still a winning night, but no more 1st half plays.

3*DePaul +13.5
Thought I would like more games, but this is it.Louisville is in a 1-5 slide which I attribute mostly to injuries.I still think they will be a factor in the tournament once they get healthy, but this is too many to lay to DePaul. The Blue Demons have been playing very well since Andre Brown's return from injury(6-1).In his absence Drake Diener stepped up his average and is now hitting 50% from behind the arc. With Holland and Greer also scoring in double figures,DePaul should cover this number.

2.5*Portland-5.5
Both of these teams have been in a tailspin.Portland has lost 4 in a row,but 3 of those have been on the road. The Broncos are banged up now with their leading rebounder out and a couple of other guys that log significant minutes are questionable.I just feel the Pilots will step it up at home tonight against a banged up team that has lost 4 in a row as well.

With all of the crap flying around the forum,I have a couple of things I would like to say.

First,I spend a lot of time handicapping games and regardless of how brief my writeups are,I assure you all that I have done my homework.I work and do not have time to present all the information I use to arrive at my selections.I am also the world's slowest typist-this post is like writing war and Peace.

Second,I post my own plays and do not post any plays unless I do the work myself. That is not to say I ignore the work of others.I am influenced by others' opinions-the other night I played Nebraska and Seton Hall after Old Man Ted responded to my questions. However,I did not post the plays under my thread.I strongly feel that if I don't have a strong enough initial opinion to begin with,I should not post the plays and pad my record if they win.

I am on vacation in Las Vegas, but I really wanted to write this post.I have no quarrel with anybody in this forum and would like to keep it that way.I just want the individuals who take the time to read my posts to know I work very hard on my selections and am not a bullshit artist.

Good luck to everyone tonight.

2*Rice+5(buy.5)
Acknowledge all of the situational edges that Hawaii will enjoy-revenge,Senior night,Rice coming from San Jose, etc.Hawaii is just 2-4 in their last six and despite the Tulsa blowout, they have played a lot of tight games at home against weaker squads. This game is important for Rice as they try to stay with UTEP in the conference standings.Sure many will disagree with me,but I have to take the points here.

Draining game for UConn against Nova.Seton Hall cruised past Georgetown and has plenty of firepower to cover this generous number.

Low Tide:

First I wanted to let you know that I responded to your inquiry in my thread. Since you have asked me to comment on your plays today, I can only offer the following:

My only selection of the day is Oklahoma State, but I fully expect a tight battle of two powerhouses with tremendous talent so a Texas win is well within the realm of possibilities. I have a slight lean toward Seton Hall, particularly if Okufor's back is giving him problems. As to your other leans, I neither have an opinion or a lean on any of these teams. Good luck tonight with whatever you decide to do.

First I would like to apologize again for posting in the "elite handicapping" thread.I realize that just by posting in the thread,I may have given some people the impression that I think I am something special.I know I am not and I know I can be under 52% in two weeks. As I am a first year poster,I have to admit I thought it was nice to have been noticed with all of the established veterans as I do not get a lot of responses to my posts.I truly regret the incident and do not want to alienate anyone on this forum. There are obviously so many capable handicappers here-Texas Kid and Kapusta are two more that I read every day that I failed to mention in my initial aplogy.Railbird,WinkyDuck,Green Doberman,Tomone,etc-Schouest and other guys that are doing great in Pop's POD thread-I could go on and on.Anyway,it's easy to see why a list will upset people-there are too many good handicappers here to keep up with.I hope you all will accept my apology and we can move on.

2*Mississippi State-13.5

This is a lot of chalk, but I like the situation.Auburn played hard and came up short against Bama and then went on the road against the Vols. The Tennesse game was intense from the beginning-2 Volunteer player went to the Auburn bench before the game and taunted Ellis as well as the Auburn players.Jemere Hendrix followed with an obscenity laced outburst and it escalated from there.Killingsworth's ejection was the culmination.I cannot see Auburn having anything in the tank for this game.MSU is still looking to win the SEC outright and this will be their last home game.

Of course I have lost 3 in a row for the first time in a while so you might want to fade this.

low tide,

I like your play on Miss St. as Auburn is done for the year. You have a lot of class and wanted to commend you on the way you handled the controversy today. Best of luck and have you been Wesley's lately?

Kojak,
Thanks for your support my friend. It is much appreciated.I have not been to that establishment yet,but I will try to get around to it.

I recently returned from Vegas where one of friends enjoyed a once in a lifetime experience.I was at a club called Rain with my friend.I left early(3:00AM) and went back to my room at Bally's.He stays and later has a foursome with 3 UCLA swimmers who were also staying at our hotel.Of course,I am happy with my girlfriend, but it would have been fun to watch

lowtide,

There is a great place outside of Vegas called the Moonside Bunny Ranch. Actually a place you may want to take your girlfriend. Couples are encouraged to come.HBO ran a special 1 hour show on it last month.Pretty damn interesting. When I was 21 went to Vegas and had a similar but not quite that exotic experience and the funny thing was they were from UCLA as well. I definitely went to the wrong school. Best of luck and I appreciate your class!
