most likely will end up with a RB in one of those picks. Goes against my strategy but I know my league will go nuts over WR. the top 7-8 WR will probably be gone by my pick

my first of two drafts is tonight

Just found out I'm picking last. not at all where I wanted to be and those have been the most challenging mocks

What kind of a league are you in where you just find out your drafting slot the day of? sign me up

We also do it. We have a 12-team redraft league. Each person picks a card A,2,3...K. The Ace gets the 1st choice of where they want to pick (not necessarily the 1st pick).

you do it the day of? that's terrible. it must be a friend/friendly league. every new league randomizes picks at least a week or two ahead of time to give you time to prep

It's a $200/team league, all locals. It's been in existence for 27 years now I believe. It's yardage-only, takes the randomness of TD's away. Amazing how many games are decided by 5 or fewer yards.

ok...i'll leave it alone due to the veteranship. Our league has been around since '92...so 27 years is the longest running I've heard of...that's impressive!
There was nothing like Monday mornings...tallying up your's and your opponents points by hand via the morning newspaper.

Haha no kidding. The pre-Internet scoring was fun.

We started our league in '86 when a friend brought it back from Vegas with an incredibly simple scoring system.

We wrote our own rules and scoring system. Took us three or four years to land on the final scoring system which has basically stood since. Most PPR leagues have adopted a scoring system that resembles what we drew up. QBs in our league score more than most leagues. And our D/Special teams can almost get to as many points as all 7 offensive players combined if you catch a crazy Defensive / Special teams dominated game with several return TDs. In other words, like in the real NFL our scoring system was devised to allow the D/STs to win a game if they dominate as happens in the NFL. We like that distinction from other leagues.

Have a fun FF season, guys.

I ended up with Ezekial with the 12th pick. First 7 picks of the draft were WR. then David Johnson, AP, Gurley, Gronk were all off the board when it was my turn

Then i took Jordy Nelson on the turn. and when it came to me for the 3rd-4th round picks I knew I had to get some wr depth so I went with Edelmen and Moncrief. The second tier wr were all but gone by the time it came back to me. I was pretty happy with edelmen for ppr and I have high hopes for moncrief this year. Indy is going nuts for the guy. I almost took Aaron Rodgers here over moncrief. Also considered Kelvin Benjamin.

The 5the and 6th turn I took woodhead as a solid #2 ppr rb and coby fleener. The TE run had started and it was between him and Delanie walker. I went with the higher upside guy.

i wont bore you with all the other rounds but i drafted Tyrod as my qb in the 10th (4pts passing td and 6 pts rushing in this league)

I had my bone head moment in the 8th when I took Travis Benjamin in a panic as time was expiring when I could have had him 4 or 5 rounds later.

Picking 12th is hard. You almost have to reach on some picks because it's so long before you get to go again. An entire tier of a position is wiped out between your picks.

Now you see why I reached for Kelce in the 5th, not having another pick again until the 8th

Congrats on making the playoffs.
Solid draft.
I would have congratulated you on winning it all if you took Rodgers instead of that sorry WR who cant catch

The deal is the drop off from Hopkins, Beckem, etc... to Nelson is not nearly as big as the dropoff from eliiot to the next Rb tier

How the hell do you put a guy who has never rushed for a yard in the NFL on a pedestal?
