Two questions on my mind right now

1. What will hopkins do this year? is he worthy of a top 5 pick?

2. rank these guys and explain. Leveon, Ezekial, David Johnson.

1. No but close
2. DJ, EE, LB

DJ I'm buying into the hype, he will have a monster year if he stays healthy
EE in a great system, but wanna see him prove it first
LB is a stud but with DJ, EE, Gurley...missing games just drops his value

Keeper question. My draft in a keeper league is tomorrow. I'm keeping Allen Robinson with a 6th round pick.

In this league you have to keep one round ahead of where you drafted them the previous year.

I like to go into the draft with some idea of who to target in the late rounds for next year's keeper. Anybody have suggestions on a keeper for next year? Someone I can get late that may not contribute a whole lot this year, but will be a good keeper for next year.

Laquon Treadwell maybe?

Thomas Thomas Thomas
And that is not homer pic.
He will be the Saints #1 receiver no later then next season and as early as this season.

Bridgewater to Treadwell or Brees to Thomas?
Which one do you think will happen more often?

And if they redrafted today Thomas would have been picked ahead of Treadwell

Its amazing the followers mentality people have when it comes to fantasy sports.

Literally overnight all of a sudden everyone wants to take WR at the beginning of the draft and pass on the RBs.

Then someone writes a few articles and everyone follows along and now you have a first round with 7 WRs getting picked in the first.

Just 4 years you would typically only have 1 WR drafted in the first.

If you would have drafted a player like Julio or OBJ with the first overall pick 3 years ago you would have been laughed out the room.

Now everyone is doing.

And what I did all those years was to be that guy who took Calvin Johnson with the 8th pick.

Now it looks like its time for me to shift gears.

I did not have a love for WRs for the sake of them being WRs.

It was just the fact that everyone was so far over buying RBs.

Now its going the other direction over night.

I would take a Calvin Johnson at 8 not because of my love for WRs.

It was just because I would rather have the #1 rated WR then have the 7th rated RB in the first round.

You never take the 7th best of anything in the first round ever. Never ever. But I use to see people make this mistake every year.

I guess now im gonna start seeing people draft the 7th best WR in the first round.

So its time for me to become the running back guy when I have been what everyone is starting to do now in the past.

And no, spare me the game has changed argument.

The game has not changed enough in the last 12 months to go from one extreme to the other like we are witnessing now.

This is heard mentality at its finest.

No wonder we got Clinton/Trump.

But I like this shift because it will be a whole lot easier for me to piece together a rag tag WR group then it was for me to find any kind of RB talent late.

Kevin White could be worth a later look along with Devontae Booker.

Chop....do you really know what PPR is?

It happens to favor the WRs and QBs....

But I agree that the RB position thins out after round four....

There are only 4 wr consistently going in the 1st round, not 7

and the top 3 wr are essentially 1A, 1b, 1c.

it's not like with Julio jones you are really getting the #3 rated wr.

And the league has drastically changed since 4 years ago when you would be laughed out of your draft from picking a wr first.

Finally, most of the discussion in this thread is ppr related

The League is not drastically different then 4 years ago.

4 years ago Drew Brees and Matt Stafford threw for over 5000 yards.

But yet people were still taking 10 running backs in the 1st round.

The NFL has not drastically changed from 4 years ago.
But the way people draft fantasy has.

It is indisputable that people are taking a herd mentality on fantasy drafting.
Not enough has changed to reflect the change in draft strategy

BTW.
I think this new strategy is smarter then the old strategy but people are going too overboard with it just like they did with the running backs before that

Everything else aside

The best 3 fantasy players this year happen to be proven WRs.

Every single rb has major question marks. Taking any of them before Brown, Beckham, jones is crazy

4th pick on and I wouldn't argue with someone taking a guy like David Johnson or Leveon Bell over Hopkins or AJ green.

Look at last seasons draft. All 10 running backs picked in the first round last season had major question marks.

But yet it did not stop people from drafting them.

And last year Julio was Juilo, OBJ was OBJ. Everyone knew who these guys were last season and how good they were last season . These big time receivers everyone is drafting have all been big time for quite a while now.

But yet that still did not stop people from drafting Lacy, Charles, forte etc ahead of them

almost all of those rb busted last season. Or in my case, AP actually had a great year but without a dominant wr on my fantasy team I busted. That's what made me a believer in the wide receiver. live and learn I guess
