Shrink, please let me at least give my side, or insight to your post.

I understand that your hands are tied... and that is fine. I was more upset earlier, but I have calmed down. It does suck however that my account was banned.

Anyways, G&J Was around back when you say... although they were more involved with the phone. In fact, they used to refer customers over to DB back when it was being run by someone else... I dont mean disrespect... and I am sorry for any trouble I caused. You know the people behind G&J, you know they are honest and hard working. As well as how reputable they are in the business. You had to do, what you had to do... thats fine. If there is any place that we could post a promotion, even in another part of the forum... please let me know.

Your side makes sense too. Don Best and TheRx.com are currently in the midst of some changes to both websites (to be completed before Football), which will make it very obvious about this alliance...

Had you approached us FIRST back in the mid 90's, we'd have probably done business with you guys...

But, I do find value in your product, and you are free to promote it in the "promotions forum."

Lastly, feel free to participate in this forum as a gambler, anytime you'd like..

We can all learn from one another...

This development is a sad one where I am concerned. Don Best is trying to maintain a monopoly on information -- something that is futile and counter-productive IMO. The concept will be quashed in time as the information age progresses, and the way things are looking, the Rx is headed south as well.

My motivation/enthusiasm level towards the Rx has just taken a big hit after reading this thread. The mods here are great but when I see anything related to Don Best I get the creeps. Sorry to be brutally honest, but that's just the way I am.

no..i am not suggesting there threads wld get edited...what i am saying is that in many ways...the RX is a big popularity contest... politics are a part of this game...

people might agree but dont like to stir up shi t! especially when it involves the RX business model.

I wont offer my opinion on the matter. But there were many rumors long ago. I dont know one way or another how things work over at DB, but I can point you to some threads where people werent too happy with the inner-workings.

All you need to do is search this forum for posts with a guy named cheetah. He seemed to have an unfavorable opinion, and many people felt the same.

Again, this isnt my opinion as I have none... just information if you ever feel like reading it.

Don Best is over there promoting his site on the main forum. So I figured why not do a little friendly competition and show our promotion as well. Well the dickheads over there must believe in censorship more than the US Government. Every post I write gets deleted immediately. More bullshit happening. Shouldnt you decide what lines, what promotions, what services you get to see? I believe so. Thankfully MWForums lets freedom of speech prevail. This is how you should run a forum, maybe you should teach the boys over there how to run a successful forum.

I was banned, I guess now I am un-banned. Either way my posts still were deleted. No point in having an account if the posts dont stay for more than 5 seconds. In fact, maybe we can get a prop bet on some of the books. 'How long will GJMike's post stay up over at therx. The over and under would probably be 5 seconds... id bet the under.

You have a point there. I guess most are unwilling to take the heat if they made a big stink, while making a small stink seems futile.

I'm just playing it by ear...if the tone of these forums gets more and more Don Best-ish or glorified spamish, my posting numbers (and quality) will probably decline. No promises, though, as I have learned from Sick Gambler and others about how people are never successful at staying away from these places!

What is there to elaborate on. That post was made immediately after 2 of my posts here were deleted. It might have been done in haste, and I have calmed down now. I apologized immediately in the thread you mentioned, however you did not post the apology here. But your policies do scare me a little. You are more or less editing/deleting anything that poses any kind of threat to DB. Over at G&J we just want the customer to decide what is best, and let them have all the tools necessary to increase their profit. We would never censor anything or anyone. Joe called me and told me to tone it down. Personally, I have no idea who you are... and Joe says you are a good guy who has helped him with things in the past. With that coming from him, I do believe you are a good guy. The thing that scares me is that if you are a good guy (which must be true if joe says so) then you would leave these threads stand. And since you arent, it must mean DB isnt letting you... which is scary, why does he have all the power? What else does he manipulate?

Is it not The Rx's right to do business with who it see's fit to? I am sure everyone here who has a business decides just who it wants to partner with....Savant I don't see what the problem is really...This forum is #1 in the world and daily has other businesses trying to use it for their own purposes...and as the Shrink has mentioned are still allowed to do, in the proper forum....Don Best is by far the top service of its kind and aligning with TheRx should not come as any surprise, call it a monopoly , I call it smart business....

Site promotions is free and can give quite a bit of exposure to any business that wants to USE it...

Journey, I feel you are missing the point.

Obviously the RX is going to benefit from DB by doing business with them. They now will have all the things that were mentioned above. The only problem with anything was freedom of speech, and you were being forced into what you see. I would rather drop it because the people over at GJ explained the situation to me. I am sorry shrink, I will apologize to you on your thread... But you really should consider changing some of those policies. Why you might be afraid to do so, I dont know... I hope it all resolves itself shortly. Please keep in mind, that you do have other alternatives.
