I think you should be all right, you got a great number there. Some books might get middled on this one.

I just returned from the Golden Nugget where I bet the Cubs at 10/1 WS and 5/1 Pennant. I also liked and bet the Patriots at 7/1 Super Bowl

Blue, I think you'll cash that but you'll sweat it out. I'm thinking Cubs win 91 or 92. As long as they make the playoffs, I'll be happy. I don't think it'll take 94 to get there.

Cubs are definitely starting to play better....

and if the pitching does half of whats its capable of doing, the cubs can be a major factor in the playoffs...

Don't see enough of a STL meltdown to give Cubs a chance at division, but wild card is theirs for the taking.....

Cards fan should worry that the regular season 11-8 advantage over Cubs was without Prior and Wood pitching in most of those games. Not only that, WE added Nomar. Who did you add at the deadline anyway. Thats what I thought. Those arms will be tired by playoffs. See you in 2nd round

Bring it on, Scrubs. Not worried here at all about Prior, Wood, or that vagina Zambrano. Not with our lineup. Good luck trying to win in Busch Stadium. You guys have had great success there.

I don't see to many big wins at Busch over the last 20 years. Cubs win easily

They have a better team this year and will have fresher arms.Alot of people use that slogan wait until next year, but the cards haven't done anything for quite sometime themselves

It's pretty hard to do better than to have the best record in baseball. And I'm not about to buy the "fresher arms" argument. All that means is that they're injury-prone. I'd much rather have healthy pitching, especially with the defense that the Cardinals have behind them. And our pitchers don't have to pitch to our lineup. IF the Cubs get into the playoffs, THEN you can talk your smack. But it will be short lived.

Check the track record of the Cards Pitchers. They have quite the list of injuries themselves. Cubs lineup is looking quite scary. I don't see an ace on the Cards staff to shut them down. Best recors means nothing. 0-0 when playoffs start. Prior games #1 Wood game #2 I'll take them over anybody Larussa has to force to take ball. Good luck with those matchups

I have a very good argument about the best record in baseball meaning nothing ! Who had the best record last year ? Oh Yeah, it was the Braves...... How did they fare ? Didn,t the wild card team win the last few World Series ?
Once the playoffs starts, the regular season means very little.

Cubs look to be the favs. Everyone is jockying the Cards right now, but that starting pitching isn't going to cut it in the playoffs.

Don't need an ace. Just some solid pitching each game, and timely hitting. Story of the Cards year. No reason to think it won't continue.

Just like 2 years ago. Schilling beaten. Johnson beaten. Like I said, just bring it. And I'll be in that sea of red...a pretty friendly place to the Cubs this millenium.

Not to many teams win Series without an ace,I don't see one wearing red.Just a matter of time before a couple of those AVERAGE arms go down

Johnson is not a ACE in my mind when it comes to the Postseason. he has a losing record in Postseason play. Your grasping at straws now. Just take your beating like a man in OCT

Last time I checked, baseball was a team sport. If pitching was the only thing that mattered, and if your pitching staff was half as good as you'd like to think it is, then we'd just have to wait until the 7th inning to get our runs. Nice bullpen.

Expect to see starters go the full nine. Season series was close with Cubs outscoring Cards and you hardly saw the two Aces.Your dreamin if you expect to get by the Cubs in 7 games
