I like Suns tonight +1 (@ home) vs the Hawks. 3rd game in a row for the Suns, but they sat Nash & Hill last night vs the Nuggets. I'll keep my eye on SO for anything.

only wind speed. but let's say they said NE 12 MPH. that's the measurement from their monitoring station and even if it was the park, how to you set that direction to HP etc

http://www.wunderground.com/history...ational&req_state=CA&req_statename=California

I am not sure about the reliability of this site but it seems real neat - shows the wind direction vs hp. I also have not tried to mine the data off of this yet but I am sure there is some VB code that can be written to pull down the data. Will discuss more in the upcoming weeks.

it's a nice site, but it needs to be tied into the pdws which d/l by day, date, and the key is rotation number than home and vis etc. not saying it cant be done but it sure looks like a bunch of work. as for myself, it's not all that hard to get specific wind direction and speed once you zero in on a few games. but doing it that want does not give you the history for any pivot tables etc

one other thing to keep in mind, is that there are less than 6 parks that are effect by wind speed. so temp and humidity are much more important to most

personally i think having the type of pitcher is much more important than wind speed

eg fast ball, knucker, curve, slider etc, but dont know where to get that info either
