You could move up to 100000/200000 and you will never eliminate that.
You gonna have to learn how to deal with that.
Its part of the game.
If you are not the kind of person that can get over it you might want to stop right now.

i know just thought i played it right. i really need to learn how to bet properly i suppose.
im assuming this all goes back to percentages and pot odds etc

alright couple of questions since im slowly but surely losing every fucking bit of my deposit....
1. am i better off playing low stakes multi tables or 1 higher limit table? say 1/2 nl
2. do any of these fuckers online pay attn to their opponents? for example if i havent played a hand in an hr, and i decide to play, why the fuck are they calling me out of position?!! (obv this guy drew out on me)
3. if you are in mid pos with aq offsuit and someone raises in the bb, should i call that bet?

im fucking pissed off again if you cant tell

1. I would start with low stakes one table, then when you get comfortable start multi-tabling, but I would stay at low stakes.
2. No, not at low limits. That is why they should be so easy to exploit. You will get sucked out on though.
3. What did you do first? Did you raise first, and they 3 bet you (re-raised)?

Online would actually be the preferred place to learn and practice and gain experience. You just see such a higher volume of hands, so it's the faster track.

You would want to mix up some live experience so you didn't get intimidated when you stepped up to the bigger games, but as far as learning strategies, bet sizing, hand reading, that kinda stuff...you'd be better off practicing that stuff multi-tabling micro stakes online.

Online translates pretty well to live. It's the same principles, just people tend to play a little crazier online, so there would be a minor adjustment.

I could suggest some good books to start off, and then I would say go online and pop open two 5c/10c tables at once and practice the strategies you read about at those limits. Sprinkle in a few live sessions at the lower limits, and you'd be off to a start at least.

2+2 forum is an invaluable resource to post hands where you're not sure you played it right, and get feedback from experienced players.

If you were really serious about it, you could hire a poker coach that could really fast-track you. They're pretty expensive though. There are listings for these people at 2+2.

would you mind to give me a couple of book recommendations as you mentioned? i think i have starting hands and how to play them down. (by the book anyway, i know you want to mix this up). anyway, im really needing help with bet size and pot odds etc. can you suggest something? thank you!

Have you tried in SNGs yet?
I think HC is mostly a MTT player.

Yeah I'm an MTT guy. You'd eventually want something cash game specific.

But sounds to me like you need something fundamental. I'd start with something general theory by Slansky and then read something specific to cash games.

https://www.amazon.com/No-Limit-Hol...537X/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1470191093&sr=8-2

https://www.amazon.com/Harrington-C...=sr_1_7?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1470191222&sr=1-7

I own the first one, have read the second. I own about 20 poker books, I can ship you some. Text me.

you recommend sit and go? what kind of buy in you think?

Its a preference.
Personally cash games bore me to tears.
An SNG or MTT I feel like im competing against other people to win a contest.

BTW if you play SNGs or MTTs you can throw that starting hand chart in the trash.
Completely different game then cash.
Although its different its probably easier then cash games.

IMO I think you should pick cash or tourney and focus your learning accordingly.

I mean, it's nice to have a versatile game and be able to play either, but I think it's more profitable to focus on one.

Play a few tournies, play some cash games, see which one attracts you. Like Chop said, personally I find tournaments WAY more fun.

I agree with HC play some of both and then pick a side and stick with it.
Its completely different from each other.

Lots of good books out there on SNGs and MTTs.
