they owe $5 million to the guy Dylan from phoenix who paid $5 million to Mike for distribution rights to Walts meth

Walt wasn't supposed to pay back that $5 million. It was their buy in for Walt's meth. Who is to say Walt hasn't been supplying them?

Now I kinda see why the first episode of this season was the way it was. I'm assuming the next season is Walt basically in hiding the whole time. What I don't like about tv shows or movies is how quickly characters figure things out. Hank read the book and BAM that's it, all the pieces were connected instantly. For all he knows Gale was a past colleague of his when he worked for Grey Matter.

i don't think it's a year, i think they are doing the last 8 episodes starting in January?

what a cliffhanger though.

According to AMC, it's summer of 2013.

There good be some good news in all of this. Maybe AMC can convince the writers and the cast to extend the series a little longer. Similar how HBO was able to do with Sopranos and Eastbound & Down.

This isn't really that type of show, I think the writers have a vision for exactly how long it can go. If it is going to dilute the quality of the show, why mess with that?

A normal season for these type of shows is 13 episodes. They plan on making another 8 episodes. They could easily bump it to 13 episodes. One episode can be a stand alone Jesse episode on what he has been up to while Walt was making piles of money. Another one they could do of Todd or Lydia. That brings us up to 10 episodes, so all they need to do is stretch out another 3 episodes which even a character writer could do successfully with the foundation already laid down.

BTW that Lydia chick is sexy in a stuck up bitchy sort of way.

These first 8 episodes or whatever have been pretty disappointing imo.... Loved the show, all the way up to Gus getting killed. I do think I´ll enjoy the final 8 episodes more, seems like it will have to move back to a more intricate plot, but with fewer people involved.

Must have been a pretty close friend according to the phrasing of the dedication in the book. So in case he was a former colleague of Walt, Walt would have said something back then when Hank showed him the video of Gale, don't you think?

Hank is now "suspicious" of Walt I wouldnt say he "knows for sure" yet. But many pieces fit immediately into place and Hank has been shown to be much better than average at detective work. A couple of things off the bat Hank would get;

-Walt has suddenly come into a lot of money last couple years. Enough to pay for his cancer treatment and to help Hank pay for his medical bills after being shot. Money to buy a flashy watch and a couple cars. Money to buy a car wash. And how did he get it? a flimsy "card counting" story. Suddenly that all looks very suspect considering he should not know Gale Beddecker.

-Walt an Skyler have been having deep but undisclosed marital problems. Why?

-Walt is very smart and knows chemistry much better than a HS teacher. Not in itself suspect, but the blue meth chemist is obviously an expert

Exactly. Plus, Hank asked him about this W.W thing before and he played dumb. Once Hank got a hint, it would all make sense with all the extra money, him being a chemistry teacher, the missing equipment coming from Walts school, etc.

One thing about Walt I noticed, he has been acting all like a badass lately, but he has no muscle behind him. Gus had Mike and Mikes guys and Gus had connections. Walt has nothing. That puts him in danger

Lydia is obviously a snake in the grass. Shes going to matter later somehow

The Todd character I think could figure. What if he gets picked up by the police for something and rats out Walter, a bigger fish, to save himself? Todd knows Walt is rich with drug cash and Todd is a thief. What if Todd and the gangscum Walt hired for the prison hits decide to rob Walt? that could happen....

All good theories.

Walt is the perfect guy to rob. Walt now walked away from the meth business leaving Todd without his income from that. Think like a guy like Todd would think- Walt has a pile of cash...somewhere. And its the kind of cash he cant put into a bank or report stolen. Walt has no muscle and Todd knows it. I noticed in the last edpisode Todd called him Mr. White, so he knows his name.

Todd and his gang buddies go into Walts house, threaten to kill everyone and rape his wife unless he turns over every penny he's got. It is the kind of thing Todd and his "buddies" would do. especially for that kind of cash.

too bad their are only 8 episodes left. their are so many avenues it could go down

Yes exactly. Hank has mentioned Gale to Walt, they talked about him at dinner, in the room etc. Of course Hank now knows Walt has had some involvement. It makes perfect sense now, light went off immediately.

Gail wrote the samething in his notes that WW was his mentor or whatever also.

Hank now pretty much knows everything, just a matter of connecting the dots.

I'm not liking that if it's the case. It's like the episode of Smallville where the black friend finds a crashed craft in the field and he instantly knows everything.

"OMG CRAFT=ALIEN SHIP= CLARK IS AN ALIEN! WTF!!!"

I just don't like it when characters in tv shows do this, I know it's for dramatic effect but it sucks. Think about it realistically. Hank should be confused more than anything about the whole thing.

He is confused, VERY confused. This is shocking to him, he thinks Walt is a total nerd square. Doesn't mean he can't figure out Walt has some involvement and add 2+2 quickly.

Also never watched Smallville so no clue what that means.

Yes, he probably is confused too. But Hank is actually pretty smart and would be able to work through it very quickly. Buying a car wash, relationship with Jessee, fancy cars and watch, card counting, chemical equipment missing from walts school, etc. It will all add up to him

Relationship with Skyler deteriorating, not coming over to the house when DEA was protecting Hank, etc

It just isn't something that would take long. Man sucks we gotta wait like 10 months...
