Ok, I am caught up and axiously awaiting the final 8 episodes. This show is fucking EPIC.
I don't know why anyone would think Walt Jr. is going to kill Walt. To make a turn like that would take much more than the 8 episodes they have left to make it plausible. I don't know how it's going to end, but I'm pretty confident Walt Jr. won't be killing anyone.

Hmm, not sure then...That scene with the fly and when he goes to the doctor had me thinking it cameback. You've seen it more recently though and you could be right. Can't wait for the final 8 eps! 2nd fav show ever behind Wire
I thought the Fly symbolized cancer because it cameback in the bathroom scene after he killed it (a play on the episode "Fly" when he tries to kill the fly all episode)
I think the cancer will play a role in the final 8 episodes even if I am wrong about the fly, I've read a lot of interviews in the past with Gilligan and I do remember him insinuating that Walt is short on time still and not in the clear over cancer. To just have the cancer go away when it has been a major plot device and driver of what Walt has done would surprise me....
Regardless, even after getting my eyes screwed out by how the writers ended Lost and Battlestar Galactica, I fully trust the Breaking Bad writers not to disappoint.
What is amazing about this show is how it takes you on this journey from loving the character of Walter White, then starting to question him, and then hating him while some part of you was still rooting for him. Friends that I know who watch the show all have different points at which they gave up on WW and said, "Ok, I hate him". For me it was when he sent his elderly neighbor into his house to see if people were in there waiting to kill him.
