Brass Postseason MLB Plays - Back in Action

Glad that many of you were able to follow and profit from another solid day on the base paths. Yesterday's total + 5.60 units record 3-1 Hitting both big plays with Morales homer in the bottom of the eighth sure helped.

Postseason Record: 15-7
Total units: +14.55

Today's game features to solid starting pitchers in DeGrom and Grienke. Being from NY and growing up playing catcher & idolizing Gary Carter, I would love to see the Mets take this game. Mets vs Cubs will be awesome sauce!

Something to consider, trends say that recently the road team wins in decisive game 5's. Well that was not the case yesterday in both games. Can the Mets possibly get the trend back on course today and win on the road?

Alright I have looked at this one from every angle possible and I see good reasons to take both teams. Making this game truly a coin flip. One would argue that Greinke at home for anything less than -150 or even -180 for that matter is rare and shows great value. He will come out tonight and perform like he deserves the CY Young.

On the other hand, DeGrom came out earlier in this series and mowed down the Dodgers at home posting 13 strikeouts. Do I expect him to repeat that feat, no, however I do expect a solid game from him giving the Mets a chance to win. Also consider, Syndergaard, Harvey available from the bullpen if DeGrom gets in trouble early. Damage Control.

The Mets do have a better lineup that can score runs. I have said it all year that the Dodgers lineup is that of a triple A team. Advantage Mets.

I know it seams like a square play, but I see no reason not to take the Under tonight.

This is a truly gut feeling play but give me:

Dodgers ML at -145 for 1 unit

GL tonight and maybe just maybe Kershaw will relieve Greinke to get the save for the Dodgers?!

Looking at tonight's game I am thinking Bats>Pitching. Waiting on the Over/Under to drop to 7.5, then looking to slam over!

May be wrong but the last time Arrieta pitched (@ home) he appeared different than he had been since the Al Star break. He was actually hittable and didn't have his customary command. Was that an aberration and will he bounce back? If so the price is cheap. But I'm not sure.
The Cubs would have been better off facing the Dodgers. I think the Mets line up very well against them.

Clearly took the wrong side yesterday. My play on the Cubs was made early in the day and unfortunately I acted too soon and did not due my usual research. I should not have tried to force it yesterday, when I knew I was going to be busy. For that I am sorry guys.

Today I will have more time, now that I am back in my home office.

Here's something that stood right out for me today. The Blue Jays head home down 0-2 in the series. Same exact spot they were in against the Rangers, backs against the wall to come out and perform. The Jays comfort level is significantly increased in the dome, where they are confident they will shine in front of a home crowd.

Johnny Cueto on the mound tonight for the Royals, coming off what might have been his best outing in a KC uniform. Pitching another game like that consecutively in a dome where the ball carries much better will be a tough feat. One that he will not be able to accomplish, as I still don't fully trust his ability to pitch in the AL.

I am well aware that the line dropped on this game significantly. I also know that DeGrom has been a beast. Yes the Cubs need a win tonight, however I will take DeGrom all day over Hendricks. Hendricks is a fly ball pitcher, coming off extended rest with the wind blowing out to left against a Mets team that is clicking on all cylinders.

Give me DeGrom & the Mets.

Managed another winning day. Should have hit the over in the Mets game, but they ruled a ground rule double after the ball went into the ivy. So dumb, the player was already rounding third and they had no chance to get him. Anyway, trim your IVY!!!
