Brass Postseason MLB Plays - Back in Action

I said it yesterday and I will say it again today ROYALS WIN THE SERIES. Cueto still has something to prove in the eyes of the team and management. I fully expect a sound performance from him, as the more experienced Royals team grinds out a win amongst a sea of blue. McHugh has been good but will give up more runs than Cueto in a game that will go OVER.

Yesterday's collapse will be resting heavily on these young Astros players and they will head home looking back on a great season and a postseason that could have been?

I am jumping on two plays early before the lines move for tomorrow's game.

Royals ML at -135 for 2 units
Royals/Astros Over 7.5 at -120 for 2 units

I can honestly say after looking at every angle possible I do not know who is going to win the Cubs/Cards game.

Growing up a Cubs supporter, I would like nothing more than for them to finish the Cards tonight and move on to the NLCS. However, Lackey has dominated the Cubs and he is tough enough to keep this game close even on short rest.

Hammel on the other hand scares me being that he is a fly ball type pitcher with the wind blowing towards the right field foul pole, I could easily see Carpenter, wong and Heyward taking advantage of that.

With that in mind I am going to pass on picking a side in this game and play the over.

Big day on deck. Two deciding game 5's in the American League to decide who moves on to the ALCS. I said it right after the Astros collapse on Monday that they are done and I will be adding units to my bet on the Royals ML.

Cueto takes the mound sporting a 5+ ERA this postseason against McHugh who had a regular season ERA of 3.89. Yes McHugh pitched well earlier in the series, but now he has to take on a surging Royals team at home. I expect both starting pitchers to give up 3-4 runs, which seems to be the norm for them. With that being the case, the Royals have playoff experience and a edge in the bullpen that will be the difference. Looking at a final score of 6-4

I posted the following two plays on Monday and I will be adding units to both. Please see the adjusted units below and be sure to shop around for the best prices as the lines have moved slightly.

In the 4pm game I like the Rangers to keep this game close if not win. Hammels has pitched well against the Jays and with the roof closed, I think this game could be more of a pitching matchup. Hammels experience in the playoffs is also a big plus. I am hoping Texas can get an early lead and hold on to that. Look for cocky Stroman to give up a run or two early, forcing the Jays to press later in the game.
