Box, nice call on Miss... I loved them and really hammered them after I saw you on them...

All I have to say about Holtz is that he is not anywhere near his father as a coach... Good coaches don't dominate the first half and then get crushed the second half against a lower level SEC team with a bunch of starters hurt...

Holtz showed he is not a good coach today... If you watched the game you will see that... Brooks went in after getting their ass kicked and regrouped his team, made adjustments, got them fired up and came out and ran the second half kickoff back...

Holtz let his team let up and they came out with nothing for the second half...Played like the game was won already...

Let's get Utah tonight... Thanks for all again...

Ok, Coaches take all the heat, but I can't blame him for this debacle. E. Car was the right play. Who would've expected Kentucky to return the kickoff for a TD, then E. Car gets a call I've never heard off to pin them deep, and Kentucky gets the ball at the E. Car 25? That's crazy, then a fumble return for TD, just a bad beat, but that's part of the game.

Great call on Utah...you swayed me from taking Alabama against the spread but I still felt like teasing it for some reason and lost it.

Great analysis on the importance of Bama's left tackle being out. Poor Wilson got abused from the left side.

Great call Box - I missed on this one - felt that with Smith out Bama would certainly show up knowing they would have to with their anchor out.

3* Connecticut Huskies -6.5 -110

The key thing to understand in sports betting is that lines aren't just made based on how good teams are, lines are also made off of public perception. It's why you lay -300 to play on the Yankees when they are clearly not very good. It's not because Vegas' numbers have the Yankees as that big of a favorite, it is because the Yankees are America's team. But being America's team doesnt win games.

I am not saying Buffalo is America's team, but this has been the sexiest team in college football the past few months. Their on every channel for the Pontiac game changing performance with their big hail mary over TEMPLE. They had the big upset win in the MAC Championship Game. And who can forget Turner Gill being portrayed as the next Tony Dungy by Charles Barkley and the media. Buffalo hasnt gotten off my TV set in 2 months, and with that public perception they come in as 6.5 point dogs. That tells me Vegas' numbers clearly have UCONN as the better team, and my excel sheet agrees here, as do I.

UCONN is a physical football team that can run the ball, play defense and defend this spread attack that Buffalo uses. I have been on Buffalo all year, but this is not the time. Too many distractions for this team with Turner Gill. Too much partying after the big upset in the MAC Title game.

UCONN has struggled down the stretch, but they played a lot of physical teams like Pitt, USF, West VA, etc. This is a big step up for Buffalo who hasnt played any teams like this and I think the defense and Donald Brown will be too much for Buffalo to overcome.

My Line, UCONN -17.

This game should be a lot closer than you think, only thing that could make it go to your prediction. Conns YPR and buffalos giving up so many yards per game.

This whole game has been dominated by UCONN, and these bizarre gift punt scores dont just give Buffalo points, but it gives them hope and momentum. This should have been a run away domination, but you cant account in your capping for these bizarre punt plays.

Looks like we will have to sweat this one out. The Bowl Bullshit strikes again.

i agree, and i'm a little worried that if uconn gets behind they won't be able to come back from very far since lorenzen can't throw for shit.

they dont need to throw. Buffalo is SOFT on both sides of the ball. They cant move the ball on offense and they cant stop Donald Brown. Twice Buffalo has been set up on UCONNS doorstep and they cant punch it in. UCONN is dominating. I am still happy with the UCONN pick and if Buffalo couldnt stop them early, I dont see them stopping UCONN when UCONN really wears them down.

Still think the play is a winner, but no reason to have to even sweat this one out. This should be game, set and match already. This is men against boys.
