Disappointing loss with Cleveland. I know Arizona has been playing well, but Cleveland has been solid all season. I thought they would be able to avoid the series sweep and doubleheader sweep. On the flip side, Miami is up 5-0 in the first. Need KC to come through for my sixth straight winning day. Been a lot of 2-1 days, but those add up. Let’s go Royals!

Phillies/Diamondbacks over 10.5 (EV), 1*
There are a couple 10’s out there, but it is mostly 10.5’s. If you can get 10 and are ok with laying some extra juice, go for it. I am posting the total that is most widely available. Tough loss with the Pirates. I think the night games will go a little better.

August 9th
Mariners ML (-120), 2*
I think this is where the Mets schedule this week is going to catch up to them. One game at St. Louis, then they had to travel to Colorado. Now they have to go to Seattle without an off day. The Mariners lineup is better equipped to hit well against lefties and Quintana isn’t very good. This is going to be a rare two unit bet for me. With the additions of Arozarena and Turner, I think Seattle will get some good swings against Quintana and the Mets will be a little fatigued tonight. GL

I like the Rays going against Kikuchi, someone who they have seen repeatedly when he was with Toronto. Crawford has really been struggling lately for Boston, particularly with the long ball. Boston and Texas had success against these pitchers a week ago. Red Sox thrive against right handed pitching. They scored five last night even without Duran. I think the Dodgers are going to get hot with Betts back. You could see the immediate impact he had last night. I also prefer him in right field where he is a gold glove defender. Lastly, I think this Padres game ends up with 6-7 runs most often, which leads me to the under. King is a sneaky Cy Young candidate, especially if he is the best pitcher down the stretch on what has become a very good Padres team. GL

Thanks Indy. It has been a nice run lately. Up about 13 units in the past two and a half weeks. I think if I turn a profit in baseball, I will have turned a profit in all four pro sports and both college sports the past calendar year. I just have to not fall apart the next two months lol.
