Celtics +3 (-110), 2*

I am making a couple contrarian bets based on the line movement. The Celtics are still very good even without Tatum and Horford. Porzingis returns for this game. As for Cleveland, I think their team will step up in this spot. Utah is a very beatable team. I could see Utah let down because Cleveland is without their three best players. I know it’s a Collin Sexton revenge game, but I like taking a shot on Cleveland at home.

Hardaway Jr. over 24.5 points (-110), 2*
Suns +3.5 (-110), 2*

Somebody has to score for the Mavericks tonight. I know other guys like Williams and Hardy will score, but Hardaway can actually get his own shot as opposed to being a spot up shooter. It sounds like Wiggins probably won’t play, otherwise I don’t know why people are betting the Wizards. GL

That Warriors loss hurt. Wizards made a three with 1.1 seconds left and lost by 11. It has been a really good season so I’m not going to complain about bad beats. Needless to say, the Warriors were the right side.

December 23rd

Knicks +2 (-110), 2*
Pelicans -7 (-110), 2*
Pistons +9.5 (-110), 2*
Raptors -5.5 (-110), 2*
Hawks ML (-110), 2*
Timberwolves +3 (-110), 2*

The Hornets and Blazers were possibilities, but I passed, at least for now. I already am betting the Pistons. I don’t think I can stomach the Hornets and Blazers as well.

I sucked the last two days. Good day to not have any games and recharge the batteries.

Knicks +3.5 (-110), 2*

Christmas Day first quarter and first half unders used to be a cash cow. The sportsbooks caught on and adjusted the numbers the last year or two. I am intrigued by going under in this early game because the total is so high. I am just going to stick with the Knicks. They got beat handily by Milwaukee on Saturday. I think this is a nice spot for the Knicks to get a little revenge.

Good luck and Merry Christmas 🎄!

Good start to the day. Never really a doubt with the Knicks. I am going to bet the Lakers, I am just waiting to see how high the line will go. It sounds like Porzingis is going to play, which is what has driven the line movement. I will wait another hour or so and see if the line goes above +5.

Mavericks/Suns over 238.5 (-108), 1*

Small play because I’m not exactly getting the best number. Live bet anything 240 or less.

The Celtics are really good. The Lakers made that nice second quarter run and Boston just reasserted themselves in the second half. Davis did all he could, but the Celtics were too much. Inevitably, Boston is going to add a big man at the deadline with Grant Williams TPE. They may also add a wing in the buyout market. They are going to have games they lose in the playoffs because they shoot poorly from three. The thing they have in their back pocket is their defense. They have the best defensive backcourt in the league. Tatum and Brown can defend well. Porzingis is obviously a problem inside. Horford can still block shots. All they need is Pritchard or Hauser to give them 10 off the bench each game and they are in a good place. They shot 31% from three and 75% from the line, both below their season averages. Yet they still won by 11 against a good team who is finally healthy. Watching this game closely today really solidified my belief that the Celtics are the team to beat.

I will hopefully have 2-3 bets tomorrow once injury news gets solidified.

There are 2-3 additional sides I am monitoring. I will probably bet the Bucks. Once we know if Giannis is playing, the line will move and I will bet accordingly. The Knicks and Suns are also on my radar. Could be all road teams tonight.
