Spurs +8 (-110), 1*

I will keep betting ugly dogs this week. Not sure if Miami will be up for this one. They played last night. If the Spurs can play this game up-tempo it will be to their benefit. I have 1-2 more bets I might add later.

Pacers -6.5 (-110), 1*

Haliburton played 29 minutes last game as his restrictions continue to be lifted. I expect to get 30+ out of him tonight. Mathurin is the only one who might miss the game with an illness, but that isn’t a deal breaker. While Golden State won easily in Philly yesterday, it’s never easy playing back to back games on the road. Particularly, when the second game is against a team like the Pacers. They are going to want to play as fast as possible and the Warriors could certainly run out of gas in the second half.

I forgot that today was the trade deadline when I made the Pacers bet. I still like them in this game, but I would have waited until after the deadline to see if they moved anyone. They traded Hield to Philly, so they will be one player short tonight. I like the Spurs again despite them letting one slip away in the fourth quarter to Miami. I just want to make sure Wemby plays and the Spurs don’t trade anyone of significance. I also considered Brooklyn, as the Cavs are on the second of a back to back. Cleveland is going to come back to earth at some point and I would like to get ahead of that. However, Brooklyn already doesn’t have Finney-Smith, Johnson or Walker tonight and they just traded Dinwiddie. They are a little too shorthanded to bet at the current number of 6.5.

The Lakers line is moving like one or both of LeBron and AD will be out. Let’s see how that injury info shakes out.

Pelicans -8.5 (-105), 1*

Looks like a 2-0 start today. No Zion for the Pelicans, but they have plenty of wing depth. Portland is completely depleted in the backcourt with their top four guys all out. This should be a double digit win for the Pelicans.

Pretty obvious letdown spot for Minnesota. Big win against the Clippers last night in LA, now they go to Portland and play one of the worst teams in the league. GL

Magic -3.5 (-110), 1*
76ers -3 (-108), 1*
Nets +11.5 (-110), 2*
Donovan Mitchell over 38.5 PRA (-115), 1*
Pistons +13 (-108), 1*
Kings +6 (-110), 1*
Jazz -5.5 (-110), 1*

Lot of bets tonight. I think this is a great spot for the Nets. They get an immediate chance at revenge against Boston. Brooklyn won’t have Simmons tonight, but they get Cam Johnson back which is an even trade at worst. Boston won’t have Horford or Jaylen Brown. Boston is going to ask more of their bench tonight and that might not go well. I like playing these revenge games a lot. Brooklyn has enough talent to play Boston close without two of the Celtic’s top six. GL

I also meant to add that this is Brooklyn and Boston’a last game before the all-star break. This is a game that is easy to look past. The fact that Brooklyn lost last night helps their potential focus issue.

My apologies on that Brooklyn bet last night. That bet never had a chance. Brooklyn had 55 points after three quarters. They couldn’t throw a rock in the ocean. I will try to redeem myself today. Good luck.
