OMT,

I'm new to online sportsbetting and I live in the US. I want to use my credit card for Betjamaica, but it requires me to provide a picture ID and bank information. Is this safe? Thanks

First of all welcome to the RX. As to your question, most sportsbooks require a photo ID and a copy of the credit card. Sometimes a utility bill as well. It is very common practice and Betjamaica is one of the finest and safest books in the industry. You need not worry about providing that information to them. Best of luck.

I'm looking to open an sportsbooking account in the very near future. I've heard alot of horror stories when it comes to these various kinds of sportsbook organizations. I reside in Canada. Any suggestions out there? Good or bad would both be appreciated.

Thanks in advance !!!

Many of our posters use any number of our sponsors listed above. Most have at least an account with either 5Dimes or Betjamaica or both. I would strongly suggest you consider either of those two or any of the others as being a member of the RX entitles you to our help with our sponsors should you need assistance. Best of luck.

Looking to start making my own picks

OMT

Thanks for all that you do, I am fairly new to the site and have had moderate success tailing others. However, I would like to develop a system of making my own as I am an avid sports fan looking to make a little bit of cash for supplemental income. I will start off with a modest bankroll, and will be betting very minimal amounts until I see that I can develop a system that makes a profit over the long haul.

Do most cappers use systems on a computer? And if so, any recommended software. Or do most sift through the paper and online checking lines and stats? Any advice or input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again for such a fun and useful site!

First of all, welcome to the RX. As to your questions, most cappers don't use systems on a computer but rather gather information on team match-ups, including stats, etc. We have match-up information on the toolbar above and you can also get information from sites shown below.

First of all, welcome to the RX. Superbook is not one of our sponsors and therefore not listed above. If you wish to see the rating on that particular book, you can click on the link below.

Thanks OMT... I wish I knew about that earlier... good thing I didn't put much money into it. I googled good betting sites and found them and they were trusted

I searched your link and they got a D-

I guess its time for a new betting place.

May I suggest two of our most favored books by our posters. Both rated A. Consider 5Dimes and Betjamaica. Just click on the name and you will be taken to their site.

Welcome to the RX. As to your question, I'm going to keep it simple to begin with as there are no short cuts when learning how to handicap. One of the better places to start is by reading. The internet has a world of information. I am going to give you two sites, one that is the largest gambling bookstore anywhere and the second, a commonly known sports site where you can find statistical information and just read daily about any sport you are interested in capping. The first site you should browse through and then if you see a book or two that you fancy contact the store toll free and ask them about books on the particular subject. They have everything. The second site you should browse and click on any particular sport, go to the scoreboard on that sport, where you can read information about each match-up in any sport for any day. Let's start there, shall we. Here are the links:

www.gamblersbook.com

www.espn.com

I hope this will help you begin to slowly learn the art of handicapping.

Can you tell me what they are referring to when they say units? I'm following an NBA capper and he says something like 5 units, 5 dimes each, or 3 units 5 dimes each.
