You're so blind you can't even get my point. Religion? LOL. Substitute God with nature if you wish. You need + and - to have a family. It's like a battery. Two penises....no work. Two vaginas....no work. Natural law says you need to be straight or it won't work. The same people that say that a man can't be faithful because it's in his nature to want to spread his seed and reproduce...are the same people that say being gay is no different than being straight.

The truth is you need a + and - to pro create. Nothing in nature says a + and + can't raise a family. Two different things.

In my opinion parents needs to love, care for, provide for and give guidance to (teach) their children.
Nothing says a Man-Man or a Woman-Woman can't do the same thing. Saying otherwise is just not true.

I am what is a considered a right wing conservative but I don't care that much about gay marriage one way or the other. There is no doubt that it degrades our culture...... but at the same time an individual's right to choose his own lifestyle seems to trump that concern. I don't think it is good for society for people to spend their days getting high...... but I also don't think the government needs to be concerning itself with such matters.

For me the biggest concern would be the indoctrination in public schools where children are being taught that alternative lifestyles are are just as good or preferable to a traditional male/female type of relationship. Even a causal knowledge of biology proves that to be false. The end result of all this is the death of our society...... but if that is what people choose of their own free will...... then so be it.

One could call someone labeling opinions that differ from their own "primitive"...... being close minded.

The idea that a child ideally should have both a male and female parent is considered a "primitive" notion...... just goes to prove how far our culture has been degraded already and how damaging the indoctrination in the public schools truly is.

I am very open to the idea that a man and a woman MUST raise a child.

But since Illini and you can not prove to me in any way that is the case then I will continue to be open minded about it.

I never said a man and a woman MUST raise a child..... only that it is an ideal arrangement. A human child has been known to be raised by a pack of wolves...... but ti is not considered the best arrangement. A single mother is better then no mother at all. It is all a matter of degree.

I agree with you different circumstances play themselves out and nothing is perfect. Children get raised in all different ways. I think it is pretty obvious that a loving and caring gay couple would be better parents to a child then an abusive and neglectful traditional couple....... but on a society wide basis a traditional male/female structure would still be preferable. There are always exceptions to any generalization.
