If you watched that game and honestly think you made the right play on the Steelers, then you, sir are self-delusional. Usually, they're at least subtle about it when they fix a game. But the Seahawks were SOOOOOO superior in that one that they had to pull out all the stops. And the idiots think it's all on the level.

you really are nuts. There isnt more money in exposing a corruption. Once its exposed the gravy train is over for the people who exposed it. But lets see if the corruption never gets exposed then its a never ending money train. You just cant seem to grasp when there is billions of dollars at stake, what people will do to get those dollars. Years ago nobody really believed that wallstreet was corrupt, now everybody knows about all the corruption taking place on wallstreet. Wake up pal, stop putting sports on some elite pedestal because these people are no differnt then any other human, where no amount of money is ever good enough.
All am gonna say is if you think the nfl powers to be, dont use their refs to influence games to get the outcomes they want, so that they can make bigger money on certain team matchups, then am sorry but you are living in a coma. The nfl is always looking for those super duper matchups so that they can hype the crap out of them on t.v.. You can bet your ass that if the nfl is looking to hype an upcoming game, they will do everything in their power if either one of those teams are in danger of losing before this big game from that happening. The nfl uses corruption, not for gambling purposes but for promotion. The people doing the gambling are the crooked refs and players. As far as the nfl goes, i would say the players are the least likely of the 3 groups to be cheating on a regular basis. The refs really are the keys to the games.
Now in the ncca, you would have to be totally braindead not to believe that these college kids arent gambling. There is more gambling taking place in college universities across the country then there is in vegas. Heres a perfect example, in college basketball theres over 300 teams with probably close to 20 players on each team. 97 percent of all the kids playing in college will never ever sniff a huge nba contract. Most of these kids in college didnt go to school for the education, so for alot of them their grades are total garbage. So lets see these kids all have the chance while they are playing ball to create their own pension fund. Do you really think the kids who know damn well they will never make the nba, are going to pass up the one chance in their lives to have total control over how much easy money they can make? No friggin way.
The best games these kids throw are the games when one team is a big favorite, where they know they are going to win the game. What they do is bet the other team since they know they can basically control the game and win it. They just make sure to let the other team cover the spread. You see they still win the game and nobody really pays attention that they didnt cover the spread, so since they won the game everybody is happy, except for the gamblers which all the non gambling fans dont care about anyways. Also the reason they dont bet on themselves in the game even thou they know they are going to win it, is because anything can still happen in the game and the other team might put up a bigger fight then they want, thus the reason for betting the other team.
For the record am not saying games are fixed because i have lost bets, hell i have been on the right side of the fixes as much as the losses. I just know what drives this world and what people will do to get it. people are starting to catch on now about this stuff, so the people involved have got to be more careful.
One last thing the nba ref didnt get caught because the nba saw what he was doing, he got caught by total accident. The feds were working on some other case and his name came up, otherwise he would still be out there reffing games. My point is this guy was doing this and nobody actually caught him. So to say people would get caught if they were cheating is just flat out wrong.
Oh well thats my two cents. Do i have proof of cheating? Of course not. I have been gambling for 30 years and i can spot cheating in a game easily. Do i know whos gonna be cheating before the games start? Of course not, if i did i would be very rich and not here typing this. But during the game, its pretty easy to spot.
There is no doubt the refs screwed the seahawks over in the superbowl. The phony flags they kept throwing against seattle, cost them the game.
You would have had to have been blind watching the game, not to see the screwjob they got. Theres so many examples of this type of stuff.

let's stay on topics here boys..we are all already aware that there is more corruption in some sports than others, especially college ball, we are talking about to what extent there is corruption in the NFL and whether or not the league itself is involved. noone has said anything or shown anything here that even comes close to building a case that there are games on a weekly basis in the NFL that you can suspect as being rigged. bad calls, weird plays, speculation, paranoia is all you have to go on. when it comes down to it, it is just paranoia. you have to stay grounded in life, we are all aware of corruption, and refs trying to fatten their wallets here and there but to think that the league itself is in on it or that it occurs so frequently as on a weekly basis, then that's just fear and paranoia getting the best of you.
this is a little off topic but what the hell..one of my white friends from my bball team says that his neighbor(who is also white) is always bitching that his neighbors are muslim and that they are probably terrorists just due to that fact. now, noone will argue that there are muslims living in the country that have radical beliefs, but to let fear control you so much that you get paranoid, always suspecting everything and everyone for no solid reason..well then that's when paranoia takes over. enjoy the football games, it's a great sport, don't ruin it for yourselves trying to convince yourself or others that the sport frequently rigs games..it's not that way at all. you can't even take a breath of air nowadays without someone knowing about it and telling the world, just for the hell of it. you think you can go rigging games on a weekly basis and get away with it? no. no examples you have shown prove that this happens every week. not even close...
