With all due respect...I don't think your argument holds up very well.
There is much money and fame to be made by exposing the corruption.
Prosecutors get promotions....reporters get promotions...players write books ect.
There is just no evidence of any widespread corruption...if it was there...people would be making a buck on exposing it.
are you nuts? Nobodys going to bust the corruption. People would stop going to games if they got exposed. What you need to understand is how the world operates. Everything is based off money and humans will do anything to get it. Also it doesnt matter how much money all these people make, because they always want more and more. Also nobody knows the real reasons guys might throw games. Hell some can be in debt to the mob as just one example.
Let me also now give you one good example of how money no matter how much a person has is never enough. Martha Stewart risked her whole billion dollar{more then athletes make} empire to make an extra 300k on her stocks. No why in the hell would anybody risk a billion dollar fortune to make some chump change? Its because we are never happy with what we have, we always want more.
Lastly getting back to why hasnt the corruption been exposed. The sports industry{not the gambling part} is in the top 5 contributors to our whole economy. If they ever fully exposed the sports industry and said games are fixed on a regular basis, that would have a devasting effect on the economy. So its in the best interests of everybody at the top to make sure it never does get exposed, because people would stop going to games and not spend money on any sports related stuff. Too much money involved.
Why do you think that nba ref scandal got hushed under the table so fast by our govt?
You can call it conspiracy stuff or whatever, but the truth is we live in a very corrupt world and money is at the center of it all. Just look at what the crooks on wallstreet have done to the country? So to sit around believing that for some reason athletes wouldnt be as corrupt, really is just foolish. But hey this is just my opinion.
Good luck:toast:
