After learning on how to corral all my favorite channels in one place I have come to the conclusion that it is a true cable cutter. It is going to be using exclusify on 1 tv for a couple of months and see how everything works for me and the wife. Then it will be bye bye DTV.

What was the secret?

Do you have a channel guide?

Mine showed up Monday but I'm out of town until Friday, so I haven't had a chance to hook it up.

The reason I don't think I could cut cable is because I have 4 TV's.

DTV now has the $60/month all inclusive where you can get all 4 receivers included in that price. That's $720/yr. And I don't typically watch movies or sports on the other TVs, so basic cable will do.

I would have to buy 3 more savages, which is >$720. Only way it would pay off is if the boxes last 2+ years and I don't wanna rely on that.

What city's local channels are you getting? Can you get out of market locals? How about Canadian TV, any luck there?

What I am looking at in the TV guide is the network channels ABC,CBS,NBC, they have all the same stuff on. It just depends on the time zone. I am in the East the Detroit area. If you look at the other channels that are listed by network you will see it is the same as on cable or DTV.

Go to http://www.tvguide.com/listings/ Since you are in the Central Time Zone it should give you times and information of what is on in your area. You can use this as a guide. Once you get used to the box look in the Live tv area. Open up the APPS and you will see what it has to offer. You can pick what you want and move it to your favorites. This will make for easy navigation,

So you're primarily navigating from your favorites area?

Another trick. Once you have your favorites established. When you open up one and are watching a show and want to move to something else just hit the back button and it will bring up your list of favorites.

are there plenty of movie streams? (new/in theatre) movies and are they high quality? someone referenced Dunkirk earlier-I watched that on a mediocre stream a couple of weeks ago.

The way the movies come out is like this:

Official Release of Movies Streams
Movies released at theatre
1. Two weeks you will start seeing CAM streams. (Camcorder in theater filming screen)
2. If it is December/January? Yes step 3 or no step 4
3. Screeners appear for Oscar nominations around cinema releases
4. HD Cams or TS(Telasync)- within six weeks
5. DVD Rip-up to a month before retail release
6. BD Rip and Blu Ray rip a few weeks before retail release
Don’t expect 1080 HD versions when movie just released.

Plenty of places to stream. My experience so far is that new/in theatre movies are of a mediocre quality. There are plenty of 4k movies.
Anybody who bought a box from me gets 90 day service from Real Debrid which will help get you better streams for movies. Does nothing for live TV.

Think I'm going to get one Daigo, but I had a couple questions.

1. You aren't selling these above cost, so why are you doing it? For example, I can go to The Standard Inc's site and purchase a savage box for $359 right now. Are you building these yourself?
2. Are you at all concerned about server overloads? For example, how many servers can possibly be linked to supporting this? The upload limits have to eventually become a concern?
3. You mentioned that you had older boxes that you still support; what is the longevity of these do you think? It's not a big investment, but cutting cable and going with this would be a big investment if the box went down, I'd be stuck searching for Cable.
4. What download speeds are ideal for this box? Is the Net Neutrality possibility concerning if the big media conglomerates get their way and being to discriminate against certain traffic?

Either way, I'm going to order one and instead of going through their site I will order one from you because you are the one who brought my attention to it, I was just curious on those questions. Thanks for your help.

1. These are Standard Inc... I work for them. David and Rob brought me on 6 months ago. I bought a box online from Infinity and got screwed badly so I started my own with a 4K box and soon realized I didn't have any premium services with them. I was not going to sell a box anybody can put a build on it and not offer anything. It would be the same thing I got screwed on. So I reached out to David and he offered his build with all the premium services per box. The boxes I bought from factory ended up being the same exact box David was selling called the Beast so it was an easy transition for me in which is called the rebranded Beast box. I can sell the Beast at any price I want because they are mine. The Savages are our newest line and I can sell at a certain price as long as I take care of the customers. The 50 dollar referral, free shipping, 30 day money back, and 90 day real debrid account is only from me. It's something I do to give back. I do this part time and only helping to screw Direct TV for the many years they screwed me over and not in it for the money.
2. We have 30k connections for the Savage box and Beast box is not on a server. We do however have Meraki, Sub Zero and Stunner Sports on Beast boxes but not user friendly with updates as for the Savage ( press a button twice to update anytime).
3. Standard and David have 4 other boxes out they still support and it's been 4 years now. These boxes are like cell phones so there will be another box coming out 6 months to a year later but we still would support the Savage for a long time. I don't see us coming out with another box for at least a year since Savage has the most advanced hardware in it.
4. We recommend 25MB for HD streaming. The way the Speed packages work for ISP providers depends on how many devices you have in a household. So if you have 5-7 devices( laptop, phone, PS4, etc) then you would need at least a 60MB speed plan. I do recommend hooking up via Ethernet to box if all possible so you don't have to deal with router issues. Netgear Nighthawk routers are perfect for streaming media wireless. Stay away from Linksys if all possible. Do some ISP providers block content? Yes they do but not on the Savage because you get to pick which server you want to connect to like a VPN does. Savage box does come with a premium VPN for free if you want to use one or not.

I hope you do order one from me so you will get the discounts I offer that other vendors or David does not offer. I posted on this site because I have been a member a long time here and I always see posts about trying to find a stream to watch certain games... now you don't have to worry about that anymore and can watch it on the TV.

I would not recommend buying the Savage for all the TV's. Savage should be the main TV and maybe another TV you use alot. We just released the Crave box but it's the same price as my Beast box so you would be better off buying the Beast box for bedrooms. I don't recommend buying all the boxes at once. Most customers buy one of each and end up putting the Beast in bedrooms. As I have said before...these boxes aren't for everybody and that's why I do the 30 day money back. I just had a local guy return the Beast because his wife hated it. He wants to try the Savage and I refuse to because he returned the Beast box 2 days after he got it and didn't give it time to learn how the box works. I am picky who I sell it to to save everybody a headache. Number one thing I ask for is who the ISP provider is and if you are willing to upgrade wifi if needed.

Open Sports Access and click EPG... it's a TV guide. First time opening it will take 30 seconds to load and may be empty at first but come back to it 30 minutes later and it will be full. Don't forget to select server, time zone and refresh links when you open it daily. Ignore the date area...it's always showing one day behind. Just refresh links to get todays games and shows. Hope that helps.

Thinking about ordering one to.

What these boxes are truly missing is a voice voice command feature.
Eliminates the aggravation of searching through all the apps.
Comcast sucks, but their X1 platform remotes are on point, because of the voice command feature.

I need to look into that to see if that is something we can program into it. I do know some people have hooked up Alexa but not sure if it controls box or just the TV and sound.

Yes you can get out of market local channels in our add on called Sub Zero. We offer plenty of Canadian TV channels in add on called Evolution IPTV. I am working on setting up a vendor in Canada but USPS lost 5 boxes shipped July 3rd and still can't find them. Sad thing is I didn't insure it for the total value to help with customs dues...

I have only a few boxes left of Savages and taking preorders for the next shipment coming in next week before the fight and NFL. You will have the box before ONLY if you preorder since those go out first. Send it via to PP tgallucci76@gmail.com friends and family. If you send it as goods and services, pick up the fees or I will be taking a picture of the fees charged back to me and will ask for the difference. Last orders I didn't make an issue about the fees because of the long delay not being in on time.

Every baseball game.

4k movies.

Every stream is completely flawless. No buffering, no nothing. Perfect HD. And I'm using wifi.

Setup is simple. Box is sleek.

Buy this thing. Period.
