From: Roy Beck, President, NumbersUSA Date: Saturday 13NOV2010 Noon EST YOUR ACTIVISM YESTERDAY MADE A DIFFERENCE! www.numbersusa.com

PELOSI HAS POSTPONED AMNESTY VOTE AT LEAST UNTIL AFTER THANKSGIVING

Earlier this week U.S. House Speaker Pelosi announced she hoped to bring up the DREAM Act amnesty to a vote in the first week of the Lame Duck session (next week).

We asked you to start pounding congressional offices with faxes Thursday afternoon and, first thing Friday, we asked you to ring the phones off the hook all day in protest of any amnesty activity.

You have already sent more than 150,000 faxes of protest into the congressional offices.

(If you haven't sent your faxes yet, please go to your NumbersUSA Action Board and send them.)

Today, House Democratic leaders announced that they aren't going to deal with the amnesty next week. They will be out of town for Thanksgiving the week after that. So, we are now fighting to prohibit the vote the first week of December when Congress returns.

Every day (and especially week) that we delay the vote, the less likely the amnesty will get a hearing. There are at most three weeks left in which it can be raised after Thanksgiving. It still is a real danger. But Congress also has some major business it absolutely has to handle before Christmas.

Your job is to continue to make the amnesty seem so controversial that your 3 Members of Congress will be telling their leaders that they don't want the amnesty brought up as a vote.

As we have beaten every amnesty in every year starting in 2001, we have learned that it is always easier when the process gets dragged out. The announcement of delay today is a very good sign.

THANKS AGAIN FOR ALL YOU HAVE DONE SO FAR IN THE CURRENT AMNESTY CRISIS.

THE AMNESTY LEADERS KNOW THAT THIS LAME DUCK SESSION IS THE ONLY POSSIBLE CHANCE THEY HAVE FOR AT LEAST TWO MORE YEARS. THE AMERICAN VOTERS LAST WEEK CHOSE A NEW CONGRESS THAT IS STRONGLY ANTI-AMNESTY.

Friends of ALIPAC,

Please get back on the phones and call every Democrat in Washington you can. Ask them to please 'Oppose Amnesty for illegal aliens and oppose the return of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid to leadership posts!"

Members of the old Congress are returning to DC today and we need you to raise their eyebrows with your calls to these numbers for Democrats at this link....
http://www.alipac.us/ftopict-63874.html

Blue Dog conservative Democrat Heath Schuler has announced he is running against Nancy Pelosi for the position of Minority Leader in the House. Schuler is very strong on our issue for a Democrat. He even has a grade of A with our friends at NumbersUSA!

Article: Schuler to challenge Pelosi

Schuler Grade A at NumbersUSA!

If Pelosi or Reid were to be ousted from leading the Democrats on Wednesday of this week, it would have a strong impact against the plan to pass Amnesty between now and Christmas.

DREAM Act Vote May Take Place After Thanksgiving!

Yesterday afternoon Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) Chairwoman, Rep. NydiaVelazquez (D-NY), announced that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has tentatively set a vote on the DREAM Act as soon as November 29th! (Capital Wire PR, Nov. 16, 2010) During her announcement at the Latino Leaders Network luncheon, Rep. Velazquez called for all Americans to contact their Congressmen to urge passage of the DREAM Act. (Id.) According to the latest reports from Capitol Hill, Democratic House leaders may even be so desperate as to amend the DREAM Act to the Help Haiti Act of 2010 (HR 5283)—a bill that grants green cards to about 1,400 Haitian orphans while they are in the process of being adopted by Americans. (CQ Today, Nov. 17, 2010)
FAIR estimates that 2-3 MILLION illegal aliens will be eligible for amnesty under the DREAM Act. The DREAM Act:
 • Grants illegal aliens “conditional” permanent resident status upon the receipt of a high school diploma, or simply enrollment in a college program or the military;
 • Grants these aliens normal LPR status (green cards) upon finishing two years of college or service in the military—requirements the Obama Administration can WAIVE.
 • Authorizes states to give illegal aliens in-state tuition so that your tax dollars will openly be subsidizing illegal immigration; and
 • Makes newly amnestied aliens eligible for numerous taxpayer-funded student loan programs.
Although touted by its sponsors as a way to give illegal alien children a pathway to citizenship, in reality, the House version of the DREAM Act has NO AGE LIMIT (H.R. 1571). Moreover, once illegal aliens receive amnesty they will be able (at the age of 21) to petition the federal government to bring in their parents, siblings, and other family members.
Call your Representatives NOW and tell them that you want our immigration laws enforced, not another amnesty that encourages more illegal immigration. Tell them:
 • The DREAM Act rewards those who broke U.S. immigration laws and only encourages more illegal immigration;
 • The DREAM Act unfairly allows illegal alien students to tap federal and state benefits, when those benefits are desperately needed by Americans who are struggling every day to make ends meet.
The open borders lobby is counting on you to be distracted during the Thanksgiving holiday so that they can pass this amnesty bill as soon as Congress returns! Please act now and continue to reach out to your Representatives next week while they are home in their districts. If you don’t take action, the only voices they will hear will be the ones that support amnesty, open borders, and immigration policies that serve special interests, not the interests of Americans.
To find the phone numbers of your Representatives, click here. Stay tuned to FAIR for more information.

ACTION NEEDED: Sign the Petition to Keep Workplace Enforcement Amendments in Homeland Security Spending Bill

TAKE ACTION NOW TO STOP DREAM ACT DURING LAME-DUCK SESSION!

Updated: Friday, November 19, 2010, 2:46 PM
Pres. Obama has called for passage of the DREAM Act Amnesty during the lame-duck session. According to a press release issued by Rep. Nydia Velazquez (D-N.Y.), she's urging House Speaker Pelosi to hold a vote on Nov. 29 - the Monday Congress returns from Thanksgiving recess. There are two actions: 1) Send faxes to your Members of Congress & President Obama and 2) Call your Reps and urge them to vote NO on DREAM. The Capitol Switchboard number is (202) 224-3121 or you can find their direct number here. For more information on the DREAM Act, download our Fact Sheet.Read Full Story

We have it from reliable sources that Pelosi and Reid plan to vote on the Dream Act Amnesty early on Monday November 29th, when the press and public will be returning from the holiday. I know most of you want to take a break however, it is IMPERATIVE that all of us contact the 7 Senators listed below, if we have any chance of defeating this. The Democrats only need one or two of these to vote with them to PASS AMNESTY.

Ten Things You Need To Know About S.3827, The DREAM Act
By Senator Jeff Sessions
http://cfif.org/v/index.php/commentary/58-immigration/821-ten-things-you-need-to-know-abou t-s3827-the-dream-act

1. The DREAM Act Is NOT Limited to Children, And It Will Be Funded On the Backs Of Hard Working, Law-Abiding Americans

2. The DREAM Act PROVIDES SAFE HARBOR FOR ANY ALIEN, Including Criminals, From Being Removed or Deported If They Simply Submit An Application

3. Certain Criminal Aliens Will Be Eligible For Amnesty Under The DREAM Act

4. Estimates Suggest That At Least 2.1 Million Illegal Aliens Will Be Eligible For the DREAM Act Amnesty. In Reality, We Have No Idea How Many Illegal Aliens Will Apply

5. Illegal Aliens Will Get In-State Tuition Benefits

6. The DREAM Act Does Not Require That An Illegal Alien Finish Any Type of Degree (Vocational, Two-Year, or Bachelor's Degree) As A Condition of Amnesty

7. The DREAM Act does not require that an illegal alien serve in the military as a condition for amnesty, and There is ALREADY A Legal Process In Place For Illegal Aliens to Obtain U.S. Citizenship Through Military Service

8. Despite Their Current Illegal Status, DREAM Act Aliens Will Be Given All The Rights That Legal Immigrants Receive-Including The Legal Right To Sponsor Their Parents and Extended Family Members For Immigration

9. Current Illegal Aliens Will Get Federal Student Loans, Federal Work Study Programs, and Other Forms of Federal Financial Aid

10. DHS Is Prohibited From Using the Information Provided By Illegal Aliens Whose DREAM Act Amnesty Applications Are Denied To Initiate Their Removal Proceedings or Investigate or Prosecute Fraud in the Application Process

Friends of ALIPAC,

We regret to inform everyone that the Democrats are planning an Amnesty Massacre of our nation to take place on the Monday following the Thanksgiving break. We believe that Pelosi and Reid plan to vote on the Dream Act Amnesty early on Monday November 29 when the press and public will be returning from the Holiday. It will be very hard for us to mobilize under these conditions.

ALIPAC has defeated the Dream Act Amnesty many times before and we are ready to fight and win again with your support! We had hoped that many of us could rest and recuperate after the brutal election cycle, but now we must swing into battle again!

3 ACTION ITEMS: PLEASE RESPOND QUICKLY AND STRONGLY

1. We must raise funds for this unexpected Amnesty challenge from Pelosi and Reid. ALIPAC will need to launch emergency measures to help defeat the Dream Act Amnesty as we have before. We need to raise about $10,000 before Monday Nov. 29. Please click on this link to donate right away at our secure donations link...
http://www.alipac.us/content-9.html

2. Please help our national press release reach good targets. Please read it and send it to your local media contacts and to your favorite national media shows. Please make sure every talk radio show you know of gets a copy.

http://www.alipac.us/article-5855-thread-1-0.html

3. Please call your members of Congress and each member of Congress in your state found on our contact list here at this link then proceed to call our 7 US Senate targets....

Call and tell a staffer this or leave a message and then try to send in a written version. You can be angry and assertive, but do NOT be over the top or threatening.

"No Dream Act Amnesty! Focus on Jobs for Americans! Enforce our existing immigration and border laws like most of you promised during the elections!"

ALIPAC's Congressional Contact List
http://www.alipac.us/ftopict-63874.html

Once you have called your state's members of Congress please focus on these seven Republican US Senators that the Democrats are working on to vote for the Dream Act Amnesty.

WARNING: The Democrats only need one or two of these to vote with them to PASS AMNESTY.

From: Roy Beck, President, NumbersUSA Date: Tuesday 23NOV2010 1:30 a.m. EST Yes, we really do need more phone calls before Thanksgiving. See the list below of the Senators who most need to hear from you because their votes are still up for grabs.

HERE'S OUR SENATE WHIP COUNT OF DREAM AMNESTY VOTE

SEE SENATORS WHO MOST NEED PHONE CALLS TODAY

Your outpouring of phone calls and faxes these past 12 days has pushed the expected NO votes to the point that we think if the vote were held today that we'd have the 41 votes needed to kill DREAM with a fillibuster.

Hooray for you!

But the opposition is changing the bill by softening some of its most egregious aspects. You have done such a good job of pointing out loopholes that the amnesty sponsors have introduced new versions of DREAM that:
 • reduce the maximum age from 35 to 30
 • eliminate the section rewarding illegal aliens with in-state tuition
Even these two concessions don't go far enough, and there are many more problems with the bill besides those two.

But we don't yet know how many of the Senators who currently are whipped as being NO votes -- as well as "Unannounced" Senators -- might switch to YES if the DREAM sponsors keep narrowing the amnesty.

The other side is using its vast war chest of funds to pay for special phoning campaigns pushing YES votes.

We desperately need your phone calls today. Thanks. (Remember that the Senators are back home this week, so make the phone calls to their staffers back in the home state offices.)

To get talking points for your own Senators and to report what you hear back to us, be sure to go to your NumbersUSA Action Board and look at your Phone Action Notes.

ACTION 1 -- 'Undecideds' are the priority

We need at least 4 of these 14 to vote NO. (The amnesty folks have a steeper hill to climb and need 11 of the 14 to vote YES.) But because there are a few wish-washy Senators among our NO list, we should aim to get at least 6 of these Undecideds. Please help.

Although many of these seem like they are leaning NO or ought to be a NO vote, there has to be a reason why they have chosen to remain publicly Undecided. The reason is unlikely to be a good one.

Most of these Undecided Senators are from small to medium sized states. If you live in the region of any of them, please call.

ALASKA

Sen. Lisa Murkowski She goes back and forth on amnesties. Did her scare in almost losing her seat make her a little more attentive on this kind of thing? Too often in the past, she has seemed to trade her vote FOR open borders to get some kind of pork barrel for the state. Will she be different this time?

KANSAS

Sen. Sam Brownback He voted YES on the DREAM amnesty back in 2007. But he remains uncommited this time in public. He was just elected governor. Help him see that a YES vote now would immediately hurt his approval ratings.

Sen. Olympia Snowe She voted YES in 2007. But she is up for re-election in 2012. She has seen some other ensconced high-seniority Republicans nearly lose or lose to Primary challengers this year. A vote for amnesty now could make her a real target. It is a good sign that she hasn't declared herself a YES yet.

Sen. Debbie Stabenow When she was coming up for re-election in 2006, she voted with us. But after winning, she voted YES on the DREAM Amnesty in 2007. Now, she is a Democrat coming up for another election in 2012 after big Republican gains in Michigan in the 2010 election. She is obviously conflicted and afraid to reveal either way. How does she tell Michigan's unemployed in 2012 that she voted to give millions more work permits to illegal aliens?

MISSOURI

Sen. Claire McCaskill She voted NO in 2007 and has been one of the more reliable pro-enforcement votes among Democrats. Missouri swung strong toward Republicans in the 2010 elections. So, why is she holding back on announcingt a NO now? She was one of the original co-sponsors of Harry Reid's placeholder amnesty bill in winter of 2009. She is very close to Pres. Obama. She is conflicted. Like others on this Undecided list, she probably hopes the vote doesn't occur so she doesn't have to anger either side of the issue.

NEBRASKA

Sen. Ben Nelson He has been one of our more reliable Democrats but he voted YES on the DREAM amnesty in 2007. He is facing huge battle for re-election in 2012. He has just come out with a statement indicating he is leaning NO, but it is ambiguous.

Bismarck: 701-258-4648
Grand Forks: 701-775-9601

Sen. Byron Dorgan Our most reliable Democrat who voted NO last time. But he is retiring and perhaps has different senses of obligation. Why hasn't he clearly put himself in the NO column this time?

Bismarck: 701-250-4618

SOUTH CAROLINA

Sen. Lindsey Graham One of the most pro-amnesty Republicans. But he has said amnesties have to be linked to tough new enforcement. South Carolinians have thought he was impossible to budget, but their constant complaints to him on immigration seem to have helped him step away from pushing for a blanket amnesty earlier this year.

WEST VIRGINIA

Sen. Joe Manchin This Democrat is replacing the always-anti-amnesty Sen. Byrd. Manchin's statements indicate he is leaning NO. Time to get a commitment to what thre people of his state overwhelmingly want.
Washington, D.C.: 202-224-3954

ACTION 2 -- Up for re-election in 2012 but still say they'll vote YES on amnesty (you can change some of these)

With the anti-incumbent mood widely expected to continue through 2012, these Senators need to be reminded what a great liability a pro-amnesty vote will be in their next election.

At the least, they need to see that there is political pain to suffer for voting to give out millions of work permits to illegal aliens. We especially need help from neighbors to get the calls up for the small states of Delaware, Rhode Island and Vermont.

Union Protests Use of Foreign Labor at MLK Memorial

Washington, D.C. area bricklayers are upset that stonemasons from China are being used to build the Martin Luther King Jr. memorial on the National Mall, the Washington Post reports. "Why do they need to come over to do the work when there are so many people here who can do it?" said the head of the local Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers union. Read Full Story

While you are enjoying your Thanksgiving holiday, please remember the DREAM Act amnesty is very much alive and Sen. Friends of ALIPAC,

We hope you all had a great holiday, but we have some very bad news to share. From the latest information we have analyzed, the chances that Reid and Pelosi will pass an Amnesty next week are fairly high!

They have a lot of bitter lawmakers who have been thrown out of DC, that are willing to stab America in the back on the way out.

Also, far too many Americans who support the enforcement of our existing immigration and border laws are politically asleep from the Holiday and overconfident due to the recent elections!

We must all be ready to do everything politically possible to stop this Dream Act Amnesty next week!

We are going to need as many of you as possible standing ready to receive our email alerts Monday morning on November 29. You will receive specific instructions regarding our new strategy.

Also, we have barely raised $5,000 of the $10,000 we need to do all that ALIPAC can do to stop this Amnesty next week. We can prevail with much less money than the millions of dollars that will be spent by illegal alien supporting groups, but at this level we will only be able to do about half of what we had hoped.

Rest assured that ALIPAC will fight with everything we have next week. We will not bother you with further requests, nor will we replace activism appeals with more calls for funds.

Please be advised this is our last request before the intense fighting begins, our funds are too low to do what we feel needs to be done, and we may crash the ALIPAC organization financially in this fight if necessary.

Many thanks to all of you who have already donated in 2010 to get us to this point.

Please do not send us into battle with only half of what we need to have the best chance of defeating Dream Act Amnesty this week.

If anyone else can please make a donation to help us raise the remaining $5,000 we need in the next 40 hours, please visit our secure online donations page as soon as possible....

PS: Remember we will need dedicated volunteers ready to make calls all day long beginning early on Monday. Please be ready to receive, forward, and follow the instructions we will send you.

Friends of ALIPAC,

We may have a big problem in Maine. According to our DC sources, calls from Americans are starting to outpace calls from illegal alien supporters but not in the offices of US Senators Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe. Collins and Snowe are not releasing their positions on Dream Amnesty and the illegal alien supporters have their hopes pinned on Collins and Snowe joining the Dems pass the Cloture vote on the bill.

Maine is a low impact illegal immigration state, so we need ALIPAC activists from all across America calling these offices with your own versions of our sample messages and your own messages about the negative impact of illegal immigration in your area.

WE MUST HAVE A FLOOD OF CALLS, EMAILS, and FACE TO FACE OFFICE VISITS TO THESE OFFICES IMMEDIATELY!

IF YOU LIVE IN MAINE, PLEASE MAKE PLANS TO VISIT THE NEAREST DISTRICT OFFICES FOR COLLINS AND SNOWE. VISIT THESE OFFICES BY DROPPING BY TO SPEAK WITH THEM OR BY MAKING APPOINTMENTS.

WE NEED MAINE RESIDENTS IN THESE OFFICES FACE TO FACE AND WE NEED EVERYONE ON THE PHONES!

Remember to call, and then communicate in writing.

SAMPLE MESSAGES for your calls, emails, and office visits.

"Please vote No on Cloture for the Dream Act Amnesty bill that would displace and replace millions of American students, workers, and voters."

"Please do not allow a controversial bill like Dream Act Amnesty to proceed, after such a historic backlash in this year's elections."

"Can your offices provide me with an estimate on how many innocent American students, workers, and voters will be displaced or negatively impacted, if Dream Act Amnesty is passed?"

"Does your office have an estimate on how many millions of illegal aliens will quickly enter the US, if you reward illegal aliens with Dream Act Amnesty?"

"I plan to oppose any member of the US Senate who votes YES on CLOTURE for the Dream Act Amnesty. Forty four Dream Act Amnesty supporters lost their seats in 2010 and I am certain more Dream Act Amnesty supporters will be defeated in 2012. Please stand with we Americans who are calling you and please do not listen to the illegal aliens and their supporters who want you to pass Amnesty"

"Please ask Senator _______ to make her position for or against Dream Act Amnesty Cloture votes Known so American voters will know, if they should support or oppose her in the next elections."

RED ALERT! This is NOT a drill

nusa_genheader.gif
From: Roy Beck, President, NumbersUSA Date: Wednesday 1DEC2010 11:30 a.m. EST HOUSE TO VOTE ON MASS AMNESTY BILL ON THURSDAY

We have just learned that the House Leadership is whipping up votes for the DREAM Act Mass Amnesty bill and intends to hold a vote on Thursday.

YOUR U.S. HOUSE REP NEEDS TO HEAR FROM YOU NOW!!!

Call the Capitol Switchboard at 202-224-3121 and ask for your House Rep's office. Urge him/her to vote NO on the DREAM Act.

For the direct number to your Rep's Capitol Hill office, click the link below:

http://www.numbersusa.com/phones?ID=12569

The DREAM Act would provide amnesty to more than 2 million illegal aliens and would open the door to endless chain migration. The bill is filled with loopholes and lacks any enforcement provisions, which could lead to fraud and invite more illegal immigration!

Make sure the House hears from our side today!

THANKS AND KEEP UP THE FINE WORK,

Friends,

Several Dream Act Amnesty supporters are attacking us in the comments section beneath our video that is going viral on the web tonight.

The leader of the pro Dream Act Amnesty group Immigration Clearinghouse, a man named Mr. Porter Corn from Laredo Texas is advocating in print that I be murdered with a grenade due to my efforts against Amnesty and appearance on Fox News

This advocacy of violence against me was accompanied by a post of my home address which has been removed by our moderators. These actions are inappropriate, a sign of weakness by our opponents, and will do more to harm the Dream Act Amnesty push.

We were going to let you see the comments for yourself at the link below....

VIDEO and Comments
Teddy Bear & Grenade: Dream Act Amnesty to Displace and Replace Americans
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qz0qjxFNpbA

<<------

However, either Youtube or Mr. Corn removed the comments shortly after this message about contacting the FBI was posted in the Announcements section at ALIPAC which Mr. Corn visits and reads frequently.

Mr. Corn posted my home address in one post and in the next posted...

"Borderbandit54: Someone should put a grenade up Willy's teddy bear ass and pull the pin. Fortunately, the majority of sane Americans don't believe this BS"

We have a screen shot of the posts and will provide that documentation to police immediately.

We need more views on this video. The radical left George Soros operation called Media Matters has also flipped out about our message on Fox News today.

Media Matters launched a scattered rant that smells of panic. We know we have hit the mark when they react like this!

Copies of the advocacy for my murder by Dream Act Amnesty supporter Mr. Porter Corn (Borderbandit54 on Youtube)
will be sent to the FBI Wednesday morning.

Special thanks to all of you who are watching this video and sharing it with others and to all of you calling the Congress with ALIPAC's messages and strategies today.

Reports from DC indicate they may vote on the Dream Act Amnesty as early as this Thursday.

We will keep you posted.

Sincerely,

William Gheen

From: Roy Beck, President, NumbersUSA Date: Thursday 2DEC2010 10 a.m. EST Congratulations again.

All of you responded yesterday with a barage of phone calls and faxes to the reports from the House that Democratic leaders were looking to bring up the DREAM Act amnesty vote on the floor of the House today.

House leadership this morning is now talking about having the vote early next week.

As I have said repeatedly, when you have a crowded tiny calendar like the one for this Lame Duck, every delay is a victory.

That said, we are still in grave danger of losing the amnesty vote in the House.

We asked you yesterday to phone your own Representative. If you haven't done that yet, please do.

But you are also asking about which Members hold the key.

The answer is that we have to get at least 40 NO votes from the following list of 80 Democrats.

The Democrats in this list are almost the only Democrats we could possibly get to vote against the amnesty. They are the ones who have opposed the Party open-borders leadership at least half the time.

What is scary is that a lot of them are retiring and don't have the same fear of future elections that may have helped them be mediocre to good on immigration in the past.

You can reach all of these Members through the Capitol Switchboard:

202-224-3121
