Two problems with you comment. For one, the sample size is so small it is meaningless. Anyone with a college course in statistic knows that. You would have to quote the total number of U.S. forces in Iraq and then break it down by race.
And two, most of the POW’s were rear echelon troops, there were from a maintenance battalion, not a forward infantry group, so almost all the POW’s were not front line troops as you falsely stated. But I’m guessing you never served in the military or you would have understood this.
I believe 20% of U.S. Military personnel are African-American, while only 12% of the U.S. population is African-American.
The fact is, most of the U.S. Military is made up of minorities and whites from lower economic levels. There is nothing wrong with that, but there is a disparity in who serves. Middle class and upper class American’s are not represented much in the U.S. military, while lower class whites and minorities do serve. I believe that was the point Rangle was trying to make.
