>small business are not the main percentage of taxes

They are the rich because they earned it.There the ones that take the risk with there money...If you were to save your money from high school and buy a hamburger stand and work 16 hours a day in it for 10 years and then buy a chain of resturaunts, that now employs 1000s of people....Why should you pay more taxes than the person that didn't sacrafice .

kaya, I thought you were into equal rights?...Why is the hard workers money worth less in value than the non industrious individual?
By the way, less taxes on the top EARNERS means more money to hire guys like you, thats capitilism, redistribution of sombodys elses EARNED wealth is Marxism.
If people like you followed the example of rich people, instead of being jealous and bitching about them..you would be way better off.

Back to square one. They provide jobs alright but not good paying ones. They make the money from the sweat of the lower and middle class.

Alot of the money is old money created during the sweat shop days. The numbers are there to show that this nation is run by but a small percentage of movers and shakers.

codeworks, if you want to debate Capitalism vs. Socialism I dont have the time... But that is the difference in what we are talking about...

Just stating facts never mentioned Socialism.

>Just stating facts

Yet the "facts" you stated (minus the adjectives) is the debate between Capitalism/Socialism. You know that so stop being coy.

Oh Contrair...

Changes can be made to the economic variables that distrubute the wealth in America. Its economic policy changes that need to take place. That is where we differ. This country is headed in the wrong direction.

>distrubute the wealth

Oh Patriot...

Why do I bother? It's like talking to a rock.

Taxes fund governments they are necessary evil as well as part being a memeber of a society.

A graduated tax scale is a matter of morality and practicality.

Morally,
Say the tax is 10%.
For a person that makes $100 a week, the $10 he gives up are much more vital to feeding his/her family than the $100 a person making $1000 a week would give up.

Practicality,
The government must have funding to function. Squeezing a nearly empty tit (the person that makes $100 a week) only provides drops. The government must take from those that can most afford it to fund itself. Also the richest need to give back to the system that allowed them to reach their finacial success to aid the poor, if not they poor become an expense and a danger. That is an expense by means of welfare, unemployment benefits, etc, and a danger because poverty always creates increased crime levels, increased crime levels mean fuller jails which means one more expense.

While it's sounds fair on the surface FF, it's immoral and impractical.

That's true, the top 10% pay 90% of the taxes.

Name one socialist country that has prospered. Just one.

To think in America a family with a mother and father working as a teacher and a nurse earning a combined income of $95,000 is considered rich by liberal democrats and should be taxed more. What the fuk.

>it's immoral and impractical

Not really... *All* flat tax plans I've read have 'cut-offs' -- Say no one making under $_____ (fill in the blank) pays personal fed. income tax.

They are trying socialism in California, is it working? Last I heard they were going under and they were trying to run the liberal governor out of office.

kaya, If a guy makes a 100$ a week he may want to get another job so now he will have 2 jobs...I've done it, worked a day job at minimum wage, then tended bar at nite...If you have any pride you do not ask the rich man for his money but you ask how he got there...if i had saved and spent my money more wisley, I might have been a lot better off.

Thats the problem with schools and colleges they teach you everything you need to know but how to live in the real world.

They also don't teach you desire.

Sadly all you learn in college these days is how to blame others for everything.

You see people come to the US from other countries were they've had a tough life and they don't waste time complaining they just get out there and start a business and do well.

On the other hand you have these little brats that have everything handed to them and they end up in prison and blame others for their problems.

The fact is most on the front lines are white boys.

That's because the majority of the military is white!!!

Sadly all you learn in college these days is how to blame others for everything.

Why don't you go and find out...
