Hey, I said there most likely will not be a problem but I don't need to have any funds frozen - I am also wearing a seat belt this morning but chances are I will not need it either.

Fair enough, but there is a difference between being cautious and losing it, and most people around here seem to be losing it.

If the Greek decides to close they would pay in the same fashion as Pinnacle - if these guys are arrested for being part of neteller and something happens to neteller the first thing the federal prosecutor's office is doing is freezing all transactions by neteller - I am an attorney and assure you this will happen - now, I do not think anything is going to happen to Neteller because they are Canadian but look at BOS and how quickly they folded up their tent.

If that is so then why didn't the US freeze all transactions by BOS?

What right would the US have to freeze the transactions of non US
residents in a company located outside the USA? Can they freeze
the bank accounts of Canadians in Switzerland?

For what it is worth, I don't think people are "losing it." For many of us a substantial part of our income comes from the offshore industry. Put yourself in our shoes and I think you would be having quite a bit of worries. Just my two cents.

lol @ 'many' people on RX making substantial parts of their income from offshore gaming. i would suggest 99% of RX registered users are lifetime losers.

Mr Lawrence holds a 5.91% stake in NETeller through his investment vehicle Corvina and Mr Lefebvre owns 5.54% of the company through Eagle Medallion Fortress.

What do we make of this?

Together, they own over 11% of Neteller.

They both owned alot more but when they went public sold out their stakes to allow for re-investment into other things.....Dont think the
11% matters. Its what they have done.

FSA regulation says they have to keep 110% of assets in low-risk, short-term investments.

What I make of it is the US government is gonna charge them with money laundering, scare the company and neteller will leave the US.

I am just checking in here and I get all this Neteller news. Luckily I emptied out most of my Neteller accounts when the new bill was passed. I still have a sizable chunk which I will be withdrawing today. I have about 70k combined from 32 accounts still in there. I pray that I have no problems getting it out.

Sportsbetting is my sole income and I have 100% of my bankroll offshore. I am in the same situation as many of you but I'm not worrying a single bit. By 'losing it' I mean overreacting, and that is no shortage of that here.

NETELLER BREAKING NEWS

Leading payment processor Neteller has sought the temporary suspension of its shares after it emerged that two former directors had been arrested in the US.

Stephen Lawrence and John Lefebvre were detained by the US authorities while travelling separately. It is believed at least one was arrested in Los Angeles.

In a statement, Neteller said neither Lawrence or Lefebvre had any current position within the company. It added: “The group has not received any communication or correspondence from any US authority regarding this or any related matter.”

Lebebvre left Neteller in December 2005 while Lawrence left in October last year, just after the passing of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act. Lebebvre and Lawrence each own approximately 5% of the company's capital.

It is not known whether they have been arrested under by state or Federal authorities.

eGaming Review will update as soon as more is known.

And from their 'snapshot' news wire:

NEWSPAPERS AND WIRES: The Guardian and Reuters carry news of the former Neteller directors’ arrests. The Guardian says the US authorities ‘swooped’ on Lawrence and Lefebvre. Reuters says Neteller shares “closed at 176p on Monday, valuing it at around £211m.”
