speaking of Portland , if you get out to the SE side , I grew up there , Dad still lives in the same house , check out the reconstruction of Powell Blvd going towards Gresham.. Its fucking embarrassing. I thought , finally we're going to get two lanes going in each direction for this road.. It's a main thoroughfare from Portland to Gresham if you don't take 84...friggin road is still one lane in each direction .. the sidewalks now are big enough to land a 747 on them. lol WTF I'm thinking.. that's fuck'n Portland in a nutshell

I gave myself this award for sifting thru all of the threads the last three days.
It took a true Champion Of The Human Spirit like myself to read some of the
Love Letters to Fauci, the Fauci Fan Fiction, and other types of weird shit that
pops up in some of the threads. Some of the threads have so much gloom and
doom that I put on a fucking mask and gloves before I read them. Then wash my
hands for twenty fucking seconds after I log out.

I agree and once again I'm disappointed knowing that the economy is going to collapse during Trump's term and certainly if he's reelected this year.

Sleepy Joe probably is too limp of a candidate to defeat Trump this year.

The Democrats enjoyed a 50 year run after the 1930's depression and unfortunately Trump's legacy likely will mirror Herbert Hoover's.

American demographics also don't favor another Reagan ever becoming President.

The best we can hope for in 2024 or beyond is somebody like Mark Cuban. He's too socially moderate for my liking, but he wouldn't support the wall street and bank bailouts that are bankrupting our nation.

A group of citizens sued Gov. Jay Inslee on Friday, arguing that his orders during the pandemic to help stop the spread of COVID-19 have violated their constitutional rights.

Tax activist Tim Eyman, who is running for governor as a Republican, is one of the plaintiffs. Clint Didier, chairman of the Franklin County Republican Party, and five other residents of the Tri-Cities and Okanogan County also are named in the lawsuit.

“... we’re suing Jay Inslee in federal court on his unconstitutional ‘essential versus non-essential’ designation of people and businesses,” Eyman wrote in an announcement Thursday. “He’s been deciding who’s in and who’s out based on politics, not the law or our state and federal Constitutions. Now he’s begrudgingly doing baby-step restriction rollbacks due to political pressure and public embarrassment.”

Most people will be fine. The virus has killed like 0.01% of Americans. The 99.99% of us that survive will go back to how we were before the pandemic. Obviously there were very damaged before all of this happened, and they will continue to be damaged, but that isn't because of the coronavirus.
