SATURDAY
ENGLAND
Bolton PK -132/Blackburn, 4 units
Wigan +1.5 +104/Liverpool, 4 units
Sunderland -.5 +107/Queens Park, 1 unit
Swansea -.5 +115/Everton, 1 unit

How can you not root for and assume Bolton will play with their absolute hearts out in their first match since Muamba nearly died of a heart attack on the field. The players may be distressed, but once they begin play they will do so with their teammate in the hearts. Wigan needs a win to avoid relegation; Liverpool needs nothing the rest of the season after winning the Carling Cup. Wigan will fight every minute and Liverpool may not care just as long. Sunderland is tough enough at home to think they can beat a fading QPR. Swansea, again at home, has glimmers of Europa qualifying while Everton is playing out the season in the middle of the standings.

Nothing in Champs League Tuesday or Wednesday, but one Libertadores match today.

LIBERTADORES
Alianza Lima (Per) +1.5 -118/Nacional (Uru), 2 units

Just to be clear, this is a bet against Nacional of Uruguay, not Nacional of Paraguay, which travels to Deportivo Tachiro of Venezuela today. Lima defeated Nacional 1-0 in Peru earlier in Libertadores. This is a must-win match for both sides, as Vasco da Gama and Libertad have seven points each and running away from these two teams (each with three). At worst this is a one-goal loss by Lima.

WEDNESDAY
LIBERTADORES
Flamengo (Braz) PK +111/Olimpia (Para), 1 unit

Tough trip and match, but if Flamengo wins this one they can make secondary their last two group play matches. I think they put a solid effort into this one.

TUESDAY
LIBERTADORES
Deportivo Quito (Ecu)/Defensor Sporting (URu) U 2.5 -123, 1 unit
Bolivar (Bol) +1.5 -136/Union Espanola (Chi), 1 unit
Atletico Nacional (Col) -1 -104/Penarol (Uru), 2 units

I rarely play totals, but the Quito/Sporting match screams under. Both are low-scoring teams to begin, but both are in a must-win situation. Quito needs the win even more, which means Sporting can go in accepting a tie and will probably play lockdown defense.

very nice Copa Lib picks last night. Sometimes the late goals (or lack of them in the Quito game) works out - not for me but for some people.

Soccer always depends on the late goals or non-goals. That's what makes this so tough. With so few scoring opportunities, even the best plays can lose on one simple 20-second counter. That said, yes, it's been a nice roll the last few weeks. Shhhh... let's not jinx it. :)

WEDNESDAY
LIBERTADORES
Nacional (Para) +.5 -121/Corinthians, 1 unit

THURSDAY (get it now, I think this line is off and will move)
Alianza Lima (Per) +.25 +105/Libertad (Para), 3 units
