Will get a update from him on Friday and will let you know here.....

Well the reports are what you would expect, horse is very sound, looking great after the breathing issues leading up to the Derby and the scratch there, working as good as ever was the quote, but would need to be to get in the money. I will use him in an exacta or 2 and put a bit of money across the board, manly because it is my neighbors horse and if I did not cash I would be sick....I will have my picks up mid afternoon tomorrow, and best of luck to all!

tri box 3-7-8-10
Feel strongly that this covers it but...

also using $.10 sup sav with these plus 1 & 2, did not think GenArod would be 20-1+

Chrome is looking very tough! I can't see any horse beating him but let's see the runners waiting for him first before jumping the gun.

What I like about Chromes wins in the derby & Preakness is he didn't open up winning by 7 to 12 lengths like Funny Cide & Smarty Jones not leaving something left in the tank.

If CC wins Belmont this will be the weakest group of 3yo EVER!!! I can see 4 or 5 that could finsih ahead of him in Belmont. TCG, yo ansered your own qiestion in a way with your overall question of doubt. That speaks volumes nd you are right to be cautious on this next "Supposed" TC winner. IS this gy better than Smarty? Real quitet? War Emblem? Street sense/Curlin??? I think not!! this thing goes back to focus on BC dirt mile cahmp.

But garbage payouts :(

The fun was priceless!
Yes and no. How many here loved Chrome but ultimately lost money on race? Many here spread wide to cover tri's and sups and lost money. If you did not compact selections using 3,10, 8.2 you were luck y to break even. If you dont mind losing money, it was cool to see meager connections living the high life similar to Mine tthat Bird a few year sback.

probably the number 1 bankroll mistake that new horseplayers make and the exact thing I have been bitching about in regards to these threads for the past 3 years.

you cant spread in a race like this if your gonna use CC, you either completely toss him and spread and try to hit the jackpot or you use him and play it cold b/c if he run 1/2 you know its not gonna pay. that tri paid 38-1 which wasnt bad b/c it was easy to hit

That super with the other 2 derby runners & the only horse that had a possible chance to win IMO in Social wrapped up the superfecta paying $173 for a $1 bet, now that's a nice payout with a 1/2 on top

If I could get 2-1 on Chrome to win the triple crown, I would jump all over it (not a reality tho) LoL!

@):) Hats off and congrats to the Preakness winner California Chrome........................may be watching a Triple Crown winner in a few weeks.................could be seeing history in the making...

As I looked at the persons that posted their selections on this forum, it looks like many of you had this down 'cold'....so a BIG CONGRATS TO ALL OF YOU who were all over this........................

My friends and I did well and swept the board.....................we even had to sign the dreaded tax form ................................ we were very happy with the winning combos that we had.................but not so happy with the 'poor' payouts for the trifecta, superfecta and super hi 5................................just like everyone else, we thought that these should have paid more, these payouts were absolutely ridiculous, but knew it would be somewhat like it if Chrome finished on top, just not this poor...

We did decide that we are going to take our measly winnings and send them to Chrome's owners, so that they may be able to afford some airline tickets to New York in a few weeks to maybe watch history.

Thanks to the best of you, and let's carry this feeling to the Belmont in a few weeks, where I believe the payouts will be much better............

Be well all...................................

It was the 1-2 favorite over the 3rd choice over the second choice in a 10 horse field....what do you think it should have paid because in all honesty for that scenario it overpaid imo and the same scenario equal even worse payouts in 99.9% of other races a year..

btw your redboarding with no proof whatsoever and that's typically frowned upon

It all depends if he's allowed to wear the nasal strip, lol!

$1,000 at 2-1 & its gotta be in person if you want my action.......we can meet at a casino that's 1 hour away from where I live.

I see you're in Pittsburgh, come on down to the Hollywood Casino in Pa :)

So you want to guarantee he's in the gate first? Not sure if you'll get action on it...like I said though 3 weeks out in interested and I'm sure others would be too...ill be at Belmont for the race so sticking in pa at Hollywood for the race ain't happening :)
