I was reading misinformation on other forums going into the derby. People were saying Chrome looked stiff all week & didn't look good the day before the derby.
Maybe people were trying to get better odds on him? LoL!
5-2 was a gift on Chrome in the derby & I should have had more on him......would of, could of, should have.......
Art Sherman is only concerned about 2 thins, getting his horse out the gate with his tactical speed & not getting stuck in between horses the first 70 yards.......if he's in good position after the first 70 yards, like Sherman stated, he's gonna be tough to beat.

:think2: Will someone please explain this to me..........................as I just finished reading the article about the 'part' owners not going to the Preakness to watch their horse CC in the second leg of triple crown.
Are these owners 50 % owners , or like a .01 % ownership ? And how can you make a statement after just winning the freaking Kentucky Derby that 'the plane tickets are a little expensive "? What the crap is that all about. Just doesn't make sense......................you can be a part of witnessing history..................your horse is worth millions at this juncture, and the plane tickets are a little expensive......wow....

I agree that the statement of the airline tickets being out if their budget is simply ridiculous........
I do understand that they own a lab business & a horse of Chromes stature is a bonus in their life, lottery ticket bonus to be exact but some people in this world are not fully absorbed by the almighty dollar.

What I'd happening with a horse like Chrome is a storybook tale.......the odds of getting a horse like this on the 1st breeding foal is like hitting the powerball twice IMO.

As of 6pm Friday, Chrome is 2-5, Social Inclusion is 8-1, Bayern is 11-1 & everyone else is st least 12-1 or higher........
I know, crazy, aye......Chrome should be even money on the ML......
Gone are the days of good horses winning the derby & having good odds in the Preakness.......Silver Charm paying $8.20 to win......Real Quiet $7.00........War Emblem $7.60........Funny Cide $5.80........Point Given didn't win the derby but IMO, he was a mortal lock in the Preakness & he paid $6.60
Out of the 139 Preakness winners, 70 of the winners were the favorite.......that bodes very well for Chrome.

Now we have this guy wanting to change the time between the triple crown races.......specifically, one month apart. We would have had a lot of triple crown winners if this was the case from the start.
