I concur my friend, I also think we will see a TC winner this year.

This year is also the 36th year w/o a TC winner, I think we will see one.

No value in betting him in Belmont, just watch & enjoy but give me 3-5 or higher in the Preakness & I'm pounding Chromeo.

Beyern is green and needed last few races. Beyern is dangerous, extremely dangerous. Feel good story would be Rosie winning Preakness or even getting a piece of the money on her home track, where she started. I know exactly how this race sets up, with a few speed balls in here. Will one of the speed balls hold up or will California Chrome stalk off the speed duel and pounce on them turning for home. The X factor for CC is how he handles coming back in two weeks. If he handles it well it won't matter who runs or what the pace is like. Should be interesting because the distance is Taylor made for CC's style...

Yours in Winners
BernieV

****According to his trainer CC reminds him of Swaps, that's definitely good enough for this field as it was in the Derby

****According to Bob Baffert Bayern is like Bodemeister, only better and that is good enough to beat everyone BUT CC

Would love to see Rosie in the winner's circle................sooner or later I think she will get there................

Think that Chrome will win this race, but have a tough going in the Belmont......that 5 week stretch is pure murder on these horses...............the ones that try............

Hope that you get to see a TC winner , as I have been blessed to see a number of them in my life.......................I still get 'chills' watching some of the old replays.................

TCG,

Think that the Belmont is going to have some huge payouts........................almost imagine something like when Sarava came in.................just have a feeling that Chrome will win this Preakness, be a huge fave in the Belmont and finish out of the money there..................... just a feeling.....

If Chrome is out of the money in the Belmont, the exotics will pay huge!

With Wicked Strong & Danza being fresh in Belmont & possibly a full field & seeing all the horses trying to win the TC since 1979, I'm wondering if chrome will be less than 2-5?

If Chrome wins by more than 4 lengths with authority & puts up a 108 beyer, he will definitely be the one to beat.

I got a feeling Chrome will wax the Preakness field & impress going away........

Its not on TV, but because they make such a big deal about the derby, that's why that's on TV.

They still pick the post positions the same way tho.........

I don't think Chrome will be 2-5 with all the hype Social Inclusion & Bayern are getting.

They both had bullet workouts & people are thinking SI will wire the field.........

:think2: Ok, here we are with less than a week to go....................have not posted much numbers, stats, facts and such for this race, as I still have not got excited about this one...............but here are my early feelings towards the possible entries before the posts are drawn.............

Bayern
----- will be out front early with the pace setter, S Inclusion , and I believe that he will falter down the stretch

Social Inclusion
----- will be leading the pack from the start and I believe he has a good chance to hold on and if anyone can take down Chrome, he will be the one

Pablo Del Monte
----- an early toss for me

California Chrome
----- can anyone beat this horse, or will he be headed for TC fame..................has to be included as a winner and in all exotics

General A Rod
----- like his chances, especially since most Preakness winners normally have run in the Derby, will include him in the exotics

Ring Weekend
----- don’t like that he had a fever or something of that sort, and I will probably list him as a toss for me

Dynamic Impact
----- don’t have a good feel for him one way or the other at this time

Ride On Curlin
----- Just like General A Rod, like his chances , especially to hit the exotic tickets

Ria Antonio
----- toss this filly, where is Untapable ( maybe in the Belmont )

Kid Cruz
----- my favorite of the new shooters..............love his speed numbers especially those late pace figures.........in the exotics for sure

OK, be well everyone ...........

Gmoney, I know your friend owns the horse & thanks for the information but how confident are they in thinking he hits the exotics?

Here are the early ML odds for the preakness:

Chrome 4-5
Social Inclusion 6-1
Ride Curlin 12-1
Bayern 12-1
Dynamic Impact 15-1
Kid Cruz 15-1
General Rod 20-1
Pablo Monte 25-1
Ring Weekend 25-1
Ria Antonia 30-1

I'm loving Kid Cruz at 15-1 in the exacta & triple.......

Will get a update from him on Friday and will let you know here.....

Thanks man......

Weather Report for Preakness:

Tues. 20% chance of rain, Wed. 20% chance, Thurs 10% chance, Friday 80% potential for heavy rainfall (highlighted in red letters), Saturday 20% chance/partly cloudy with a high of 69 degrees & wind NW 8 mph........

Goodness sakes, will this track be ready for the big race. Good thing we will watch several races before hand to monitor how the track is playing out.

Derby day, horses were wiring the field which favored Chromes running style.......gonna be very interesting to see if the track is swamped with water Saturday but knowing this is the Preakness, they will have it ready.........

Not only does Chrome have to beat the other horses in the field which I think he will easily, he's gotta have some luck as far as health goes.

I mean, I can't begin to imagine if I had bet Barbaro heavy in the preaknes to win & Exactas only to have my money go down the drain as the race started.

Did the trainer know that the horse had any legs or feet problems before the race? Its definitely a possibility he did know but still ran him.

Didn't Big Brown run with a quarter crack in Belmont? But that was public knowledge if I remember correctly.

Chrome is in tip top shape & the guy that has been bringing the horses back from the track to the winners circle past 9 years said hes never seen a horse as fresh as Chrome aftet running the derby.........Chrome couldnt blow out a match he was quoted as saying.

The horse prancing & dancing after the race......in fact, he was hot before the race & was cool afterwards, never seen anything like it.

He's been eating all his oats & this morning walked around Churchill.

He was on his bit to run but Sherman said they will gallop him out tomorrow.

Ahhh, the memories. When Pinnacle still let you bet horses. I had $2000 on Barbaro, only to see him bust through the gate. There was no way to cancel that bet lmao.
